Yes, but this should be a regulation enacted through an independent commission not subject to the political branches.

Adult websites should be restricted to require age-verification in order to protect children from being subject to inappropriate content for their age. However, generic websites and apps like Roblox, YouTube, and Twitter/X should not be subject to the same verification, as they are merely for entertainment purposes. Though regulatory measures should also be taken to ensure predators do not terrorize the youth.

No, online anonymity is a crucial safety shield for whistle blowers, dissidents, and minorities who would face real-world retaliation if doxxed, and the government has zero constitutional authority to police the internet or track our digital footprints like a totalitarian social credit system, as well as other issues like people selling our data or identity fraud/theft

Yes, only because of the fact that I don't want a 10 year old on twitter, tiktok, instagram, etc.

 @BBYR2KY from New York  answered…3mos3MO

yes to an extent, to ensure safety on kids for example. but I think we have a right to be anonymous

 @BCB5D2Q  from Missouri  answered…3mos3MO

I feel like making people verify with government IDs makes people not want to be on social media. The kids have to learn the dangers of the internet

 @BDZTDDD from Missouri  answered…3 days3D

No, if government agencies determine a crime has been committed, they should obtain a warrant that requires the media platform to provide the user's personal identifying information. An mandatory government ID to use the internet is unconstitutional; it violates individual privacy rights.

 @BDZRHF5 from Oregon  answered…4 days4D

No it would harm certain activists and it could lead to people getting doxxed which has problems.
