Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Healthcare › COVID Mask Mandate
8>8 Personal answerYes, except for certain medical conditions |
Social › Abortion
8>8 Personal answerBoth Pro-life and pro-choice: I support both personal responsibility and the protection of life. We should fight for the preservation of life through an encouragement of greater personal responsibility, better education, and ease of access to more humane alternatives to abortion. |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
8>8 Personal answerEnforce current laws better. |
Social › Gender Identity
8>8 Personal answerI struggle with these types of questions because I am not exposed to the discrimination. I feel like there should not have to be a law for every little thing. Treat people fairly should not have to be a law. I suppose if it is a true issue, that I a just have not seen myself, then yes. But then it will likely need to be very carefully worded and gender diverse people need to be involved in the making of the law. |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
8>8 Personal answerThe minimum wage was started to put a limit on how low to pay the young workers. In todays time, more and more single parents, senior citizens, and college students are working skilled jobs at minimum wage rates. Instead of raising minimum wage, we should reclassify what a minimum wage job is. Furthermore, we should establish minimum wage rates for different age groups, and have a tier system that classifies each job in tiers. Each tier's minimum rage should go up to the last tiers highest wage. Having 3-4 tiers in each age group would reduce the number of people at or under the poverty line, it will create better workers, and allow for less turn over. It will also reduce the number of unemployed workers. Jobs such as fast food, retail, gas station attendants etc, would be worked mainly by high school and college students, leaving more skilled jobs for working adults. |
Domestic Policy › Armed Teachers
8>8 Personal answerNo, hire professionally trained security guards instead |
the Environment › Climate Change
8>8 Personal answerNo, provide more incentives for alternative energy production instead |
the Economy › Taxes
8>8 Personal answerLower the income tax rate and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations |
Education › Student Loans
8>8 Personal answerNo, but we should still reduce interest rates for student loans |
Education › Free College for All
8>8 Personal answerOnly if there are controls put on things and the colleges and universities don't increase the prices even more once the government is paying - costing all of us more in taxes in the long run. College is already outrageously expensive for what you actually get out of it. I am afraid that they will quadruple the prices just because they can and then our taxes will have to go up to cover it. It will be a never ending cycle. |
Healthcare › Medicaid
8>8 Personal answerI am not informed enough to form a full opinion. |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
8>8 Personal answerNo, but require vaccination in order to attend public school |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
8>8 Personal answerYes, if they pay taxes |
Elections › Voter Fraud
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Border Wall
8>8 Personal answerNo, this would be too costly and ineffective |
Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
8>8 Personal answerNo, manufacturers and dealers should only be held liable for negligence |
Crime › Defunding the Police
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Mandatory minimum prison sentences
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
8>8 Personal answerNo, only legal citizens should be allowed to vote |
the Economy › Welfare Drug Testing
8>8 Personal answerNo, only if they have a criminal history related to drug abuse |
Immigration › In-State Tuition
8>8 Personal answerAs long as they become documented citizens. |
Healthcare › Obamacare
8>8 Personal answerNot that exact plan. I do like the idea of everyone having easier access to healthcare and not worrying about pre existing conditions, however I have seen the difference between people that I know trying to get care that they need through Medicare vs getting care through a private insurance and although there are issues with both I will take the private insurer any day. |
Elections › Electoral College
8>8 Personal answerI'm still undecided on this |
Science › Nuclear Energy
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Science › GMO Labels
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Education › Universal Pre-K
8>8 Personal answerI have never thought about this. |
Transportation › Public Transportation
8>8 Personal answerIt would be very helpful to the rural communities as the currently available private options are not easy to come by. I do think it would be hard to get passed because most people are fine with driving themselves and do not consider those who cannot. Most will see this as an environmental question. |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only after completing their sentences and parole/probation |
the Environment › Plastic Product Ban
8>8 Personal answerNot all at once, but try to gradually phase them out |
Foreign Policy › Terrorism
8>8 Personal answerNo, they should be tried in military tribunals but not subject to torture |
National Security › Military Congressional Approval
8>8 Personal answerThe President should be able to authorize the use of military force in time critical situations that require an immediate response. These actions should not be allowed to continue beyond 30 days without congressional approval or authorization. |
the Environment › Paris Climate Agreement
8>8 Personal answerN/A (Do not understand stated Agreement) |
National Security › Foreign Assassination
8>8 Personal answerI don't feel qualified to answer |
