It is largely our own actions which have created the "border crisis." Above, I noted the ways in which we created conditions in "source" countries which have led to the migrations we're seeing. Also, we haven't properly funded immigration courts so that they can act on cases expeditiously. When someone lives in this country for years waiting for a court date, it should not be surprising that removing them at this point would be hugely disruptive to the deported person, his/her family, and often his/her US community. None of that is the fault of the immigrants.

Why would America want to ban potential citizens from our beloved country? if our country was originally brought up my immigrants why is the country all of a sudden against it?
@HelcovichEmireRepublican5mos5MO
We aren't against immigration, we're against ILLEGAL immigration. Get your facts straight! Immigration can be done legally, but they're doing it ILLEGALLY.
@B78KL923wks3W
Undocumented immigrants in the United states pay an estimated 30-35 billion dollars in taxes per year. That makes 4.4% of people who are employed which would be a huge hit to our economy.

it is true there are non violent immigrants that are being deported and it's not okay for them they get scared and worried because when they get deported they don't know where they're family is going and who is gonna provide care for them
@B6YM45X4wks4W
Too many non Violent immigrants are being deported rather than actual criminals, ice is doing raids on factory's, fields, and work sites where immigrants are working labor so that they could provide a living for their family's
Deportation simply shouldn't be for violent crimes. Things like drugs, cartels, and illegals in general. While yes, some are violent,

Many cases have been reported of ICE soldiers having deported people who have never had a criminal record only for being illegal. Even when they are legal, they get caught up in this mess (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/migrants-in-u-s-legally-and-with-no-criminal-history-caught-up-in-trump-crackdown).

Giving the government too much power has shown that legal immigrants and non-violent illegal immigrants have also been deported with the 2nd Trump administration being an example. Additionally, there is overwhelming evidence that illegal immigrants commit lesser crimes than native born Americans.

Children of immigrants are being affected by the mass deportations and limiting the amount of education many of them have the opportunity of getting.
@B6HRSCQ2mos2MO
The Idea of deporting Immigrants because they might be violent hinges on the idea that Illegal immigrants commit a large amount of crime, however studies show that Immigration rising has had no effect to crime rate rising in the United States (https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/debunking_the_myth_of_immigrants_and_crime.pdf)
Another Study also shows that in Texas, (which has a high Illegal Immigrant Population) Natural US Citizens and Legal Immigrants commit Significantly more crime that Non Legal Immigrants
