Have you felt that family or community pressures to conform have benefitted or hindered your personal growth?

 @9KSGPBB from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

I’m opposed to this conservative movement. It created the MAGA movement.

  @jsimicConstitution from Texas  disagreed…12mos12MO

Engaged Paleoconservatism

You mean the movement that improves the economy, favors Americans over foreigners, and promotes energy exports over imports?

Or maybe where babies are allowed to survive pregnancy?

Or the success of peace thru strength rather than appeasement to dictators?

 @9KTBHMB  from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel like there is no spot of it in our country considering that we are an evolving country that we cannot stay in a coservative mindset

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  disagreed…7mos7MO

The progressive movements have destroyed the true ideals of America, feminism is one these movements. Many more, such as DEI, lgbtq rights, all are destroying the traditional ideals that have made America so great. No only do we need to stop these liberal movements, we need to regress some of these movements to when America truly was the best country in the world.

 @9KSGKCY  from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

I think from what I know, Paleo conservatism has been a ghost to me, I feel the culture I've been introduced has responded very positively to innovations and changes. So I feel it has not affected me at all.

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  commented…7mos7MO

depends on what changes took place, some are good, but most are bad, at least they are these days

If everyone prioritized local over global, how do you think that would affect the world you're growing up in?

 @9LBPK36Independence from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

everyone would become divided because their would probably be different rules in different local places

 @9RYK5C7 from Missouri  answered…1yr1Y

It's nice in theory but we've learned people won't leave us alone if we try.

 @9LBPJFR from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

It would make the place i grew up more prosperous but we would know engage less with the outside

In your opinion, does a limited government enhance personal freedom and responsibility; why or why not?

 @9HN63R3Libertarian answered…2yrs2Y

Not necessarily. I believe a good strong government is necessary to protect the civil liberties of the people by protecting them from exploitation by other powerful individuals such as wealthy business-owners and religious leaders.

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  commented…7mos7MO

How are you a libertarian when you outright said a good strong government is necessary?

 @9HN6RV7 from Michigan  answered…2yrs2Y

I think so. Slightly less governmental involvement would be better.

 @Minarchist-08Libertarian from Washington  commented…1yr1Y

“Slightly”??? Are you kidding? I say decrease government by greater than 90%! All it should do is provide police courts & military.

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  answered…7mos7MO

Decrease government intervention in the economy (repeal all anti-discrimination laws, repeal environmental regulations, decrease amount of social welfare programs), but government should definitely ensure security of citizens via mass facial recognition surveillance of high crime areas and increased police presence. Also, government should intervene to put down lgbtq.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Why might someone believe that upholding traditional cultural values is critical in today's world?

 @9HV9648Democrat from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Because people would loose there heritage and forget about there backgrounds.

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  answered…7mos7MO

Because that's what has made America the best country. Now, thanks to all these liberal movements going on, America has been turned into a crappy country. We must restore traditional values to ensure America's superiority to all other countries.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

In which situations have you noticed the tension between preserving cultural heritage and embracing diversity?

 @9HV92JV from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

A lot of people who stress preserving traditional values also tend to be opposed to the diversity of modern America.

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  answered…7mos7MO

Diversity is good when it's between countries, not within countries. All people must assimilate into traditional America culture to be here.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How would you describe the ideal balance between government authority and personal liberty in your life?

 @9KB9KWK from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

I think foreign intervention is really important for our country because not only people that are outside of our country are intervening, also immigrants and having such a conservative idea sometimes is not really good for the development of the nation.

 @9K9GTHS from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  answered…7mos7MO

Government authority is only needed to ensure security of its citizens, by mass surveillance or police presence, and to stop people from making horrid decisions, like gender transitioning. Other than that the government should not restrict our personal liberties.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Have changes in society prompted you to cling more tightly to certain traditions; can you give an example?

 @9JPWSWK from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

I do believe I have begun to cling more to paleoconservatism because while change is good, too much change is bad. Electric cars are a good example because they are far more expensive to repair, destroy power grids as shown in California, and the batteries cause even more environmental damage than they are trying to fix.

 @9JP5ZBX from Tennessee  answered…2yrs2Y

  @HelcovichEmireRepublican from Maryland  answered…7mos7MO

The LGBTQ+ rights movement has disgusted me ever since I learned about it. Made me realize more the importance of traditional marriage and respecting one's own body to not try to mess it up.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Why might someone argue that national sovereignty is crucial in a world of growing globalization?

 @9HMYTN7 from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Some of the arguments in favor of national sovereignty in a world of increasing globalization include:

- Protect national interests: Strong national sovereignty allows governments to protect the interests of their citizens and prevent them from being affected by the negative effects of globalization, such as job loss or job insecurity.

- Preserve cultural identity: Globalization can make it difficult to preserve a country's cultural identity, while strong national sovereignty allows governments to protect and promote their country's culture and identity.

How do you think our current societal issues would be addressed through a lens of strong local traditions and values?

 @9LH23G2 from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I think people are entitled to their own beliefs and can address stuff how they want.

 @9LGZV5M from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

These views are extremely restricting and don't have a place in our current societal climate.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

Do you feel that a government playing a limited role in the economy would better serve your future financial prospects?

 @9LFJ67Q from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

no as we can see with little government involvement the "free market" devolves into monopolies and slave labor

 @Minarchist-08Libertarian from Washington  disagreed…1yr1Y

That’s what they call the Slippery Slope Fallacy — “we can’t have liberty, because then slavery would return, and monopolies!” Give me a break.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

In what situations do you think individual freedom should be prioritized over state authority?

 @9JBGM3G from California  answered…2yrs2Y

When have you felt that 'the old ways' made more sense than modern approaches to a problem you faced?

 @9JR5NLM from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Everyone should be able to have their own opinion. If not that would be abuse to the 1st amendment.

 @9JR5S6B from Wisconsin  answered…2yrs2Y

It doesn't really make sense too me because the old ways had people as slaves and people had less rights.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How does the idea of non-intervention resonate with your views on current events or historical actions by your country?

 @9L36J37Republican from Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

I mean if "Paleoconservatism" supports restrictions of immigration, trade tariffs, protectionism, economic nationalism, isolationism, return to tradition relating to gender, race, sexuality, culture and society, I am all for it.

 @9L35T95 from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

I feel that we should be involved only if it threatens international peace like during the second world war

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you believe cultural traditions have a place in educational institutions, and what might that look like?

 @9HV8FDQ from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

It would be a good thing for students to learn a little about other cultures, if the other cultures agree.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Have you ever encountered a situation where you believed international involvement was unnecessary or detrimental?

 @9HM6MD4Socialist  from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Oh everyday. International involvement should not exist, we need to put America first. Once we start fixing our own problems here at home, then we can worry about other nations.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Should economic policies favor the preservation of national industries and jobs over competitive global markets?

 @9HD4HBY  from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

What does 'anti-federalism' mean to you, and can you see its principles at work in your local government?

 @9HN5D5Z from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

I like the idea of this sort of following, but there are many factors that come with this when the government gets limited. We still have the areas like the ghettos where if we don't have proper precautions then things could get out of hands in certain areas with the possibility to spread.

Can you share a time when following the majority differed from your personal beliefs and how you handled it?

 @9KB9G7Kanswered…2yrs2Y

not entirely sure what this means, but I believe people are too weak and sensitive, not everything can be talked down.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Can you think of a personal example where traditional values clashed or harmonized with modern societal changes?

 @9KPS68Z from Wisconsin  answered…2yrs2Y

traditional values typically relate to morals, however when trying to modernize certain beliefs there seems to be a contrast. Because of this, I have seen people criticizing religion because of some perceptions on religion versus the LGBTQ. Despite this, I believe that traditional values can meet peacefully if both groups, the religious and the LGBTQ choose to listen to each others beliefs instead of criticizing them.

Is it sometimes justifiable for a country to intervene in another's affairs, or should non-interventionism be absolute?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

In what ways has ‘big government’ positively or negatively interfered in aspects of your life or community?

 @9KTMN8J  from South Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

When it comes to Paleoconservatism, I truly do not agree with it because I’m not sure how as an African-American woman, I would fit into the bylaws or thought process in these conversations. I do not think that this type of thought process or way to look at politics would help me and my community in anyway. So I do think that it has a negative notation in my community.
