No but there should be better processes that make overstaying illegaly harder and less common

They should be allowed to stay in a designated space inside the country they seek asylum in.

No, but they should be able to be quickly accessed if their case is rejected

Yes, but create designated safe zones, with all basic necessities provided, for refugees to camp safely until their cases are processed and completed and they can apply for asylum or citizenship

Honestly no. Families escaping the cartel to raise their children safely should be helped with a liaison and placed in a temp facility *we need those badly* like a giant apartment complex for asylum seekers until they are processed. I do not condone illegal immigration but I do feel horrible for honest hard working families trying to save their babies from a horrible government or dangerous living system.

No, requiring asylum seekers to remain in Mexico creates legal and humanitarian complications without meaningfully improving efficiency or fairness.

Only if, infrastructure exists in Mexico to house these asylum seeking individuals in the interim. If not, then they should be able to come and work in the United States, with temporary work authorization and initial support so they can succeed. As they intended to with the trip.

Not in Mexico, but also not in the US. There should be an area near the border in the US where they can stay while waiting for their cases to be processed.

It depends on if the immigrant feels they are safe there or not. Some people are fleeing violence and should not stay in an area that could compromise their security.
