I'm much more Conservative than him in many ways, and I disagree with him on MOST of his stances.

I don't agree with making people wearing masks on public transportation or that their needs to be added regulations to buying a gun.

He lost to Ted Cruz by more than eight points of all people! Yeah, I am not giving him a second chance at all.

Anti-gun, not truly moderate or charismatic enough to be a viable candidate in Texas

He doesn't seem to have a very strong opinion on anything, which I think is an important thing to have figured out if you're running for office. He often answers questions very indirectly, instead of tackling them head on.

Many critics argue that Colin Allred is not bold enough on certain key issues for those on the progressive end of the spectrum. They see him as trying too hard to appeal to moderates or traditional Democrats, which in their view means he compromises too much.

We need fresh blood. He should try and reclaim his House seat or run for Mayor or County Judge

 @B7PZHKG from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

I honestly didn’t know anything about him until just searching for him

One reason I would not vote for Colin Allred in the 2026 Texas Senate election is because of his stance on gun control. Allred has supported measures like universal background checks and restrictions on certain firearms, which some Texans view as infringing on Second Amendment rights. In a state with a strong tradition of gun ownership and self-defense, these policies may be seen as too restrictive. Voters who prioritize gun rights might prefer a candidate who advocates for fewer regulations and more personal freedom when it comes to firearms. While Allred’s intentions may be rooted in public safety, his approach could alienate constituents who believe in protecting individual liberties.

A simple reason someone might not vote for Colin Allred is that some of his policies and positions may not align with the views of many Texas voters.

I would not vote for Colin Allred because I disagree with his policies and don’t think he represents my priorities.

 @B7JCF7J from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

I dont have a reason why I wouldn't really say I wouldn't because I'm lean more towards democratic.

 @B7J8V9QPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

Colin Allred because of perceived moderate political positions and criticisms of his campaign strategy.
