No its a invasion of our privacy and could be used to rig elections if introduced.

It could be a form of ID, I think there can be other methods to verify who you are before you vote. I don't like the amount of info the government and big corporations already have on us regular citizens. I think it is dangerous to identify people on that level in a politically charged context

 @BD7DMN8 from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

 @BD7DJRH from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but only if they have a criminal record, previously convicted of a crime, or is a suspect

 @BD55D7RDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

 @BD54Q8RPeace and Freedom from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

only if all us citizens can get one easily and cheaply and are auto registered at 18

 @BD54FFY from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

 @BD4LLT8 from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

only if a free ID is provided to every single adult resident of the state, with no fees for renewal and anything.

 @BD4BVH3 from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

North Carolina should require photo ID only after massively expanding access to acquiring one.

 @BD47Z7CConstitution from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

No, it is private info but should use other info in order to protect from voter fraud

 @BD43QFM from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

 @BCZ3JQQNo Labels from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

yes, but it should be easy, free, and guaranteed for all 18 year olds or eligible voters.

 @BCYQPRPIndependent from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

No, it should be encouraged but it dissuades those who are unable to afford those ID’s from voting.

Yes, because It shows that there will bill no fraud voters, but when doing this process there should not be any racial discrimnation

 @BCV9C8C from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

North Carolina should NOT make people require a photo ID for voters, only if they are born here, or if they have stayed here for about 4 years and have a family.

yes but only if the id is already provided if they don't have an id because they cant buy one then make an id for them to vote then and then after the voting then have them pay for an id or try to provide a job for them

 @BCSP84V from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

 @BCS9W68 from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but only because someone who is younger and less educated could be trying to vote, but being uneducated could be a risky factor of voting.

 @BCS37JLDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

  @luxendoePeace and Freedom  from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

No, voter fraud is a near non-existent issue, and photo ID restricts some eligible voters from voting

 @BCQFW42  from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

 @BCNXKG3Democrat from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but only if they ensure that all citizens have a valid photo ID so that it cannot be used to restrict voting from minorities.

 @BBL46KZ from North Carolina  answered…4mos4MO

No, it's predatory and acts as a poll tax. If you want to, then provide one free of charge to all citizens and register every North Carolina resident at 18 and mail them their card free of charge

Requiring photo ID puts unnecessary financial strain on voters who may not be able to afford to get things like a passport. If it becomes a requirement, it should also be paid for by the government.

 @BC6XFRZ from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

I think it depends on their background because they could be trying to do something their not supposed to but at the same time some people might not be able to get one.

 @BC3595R from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, to check is eligible and ensure you only vote once but it should not be connected to your vote to see who you voted for.

 @BBXMQBJ from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

I think it should depend, if the person voting is a foreigner and recently became a citizen, they should present a photo id, but for people who were already citizens for a long time, they don’t have to

 @BBXMGY6No Labels from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

Yes but a birth certificate even if they were born in a different country should be okay or a job Id badge or something similar

 @BBXMDZC from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

I think it would depend, if the person voting is a foreigner and recently moved to the us to become a citizen, they should present a photo Id but people who are already citizens for a while don’t have to

 @BBXF7WTWorkers from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

ID is already required to vote, this is a non-issue and legislation using the guise of voter ID only serves to disrupt and destroy our democracy.

 @BBN6K9N from North Carolina  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but only if NC implements a full-scale program to ensure that every state resident is located, identified, and given a free ID with as many free replacements as needed.

 @B868HN9 from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

The reason no is because it would take too long to vote if everyone had to get their photo id approved.

 @B84TRQWWomen’s Equality from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

no but there should be multiple proofs of identification if they don't have a photo id

 @B83P7M9 from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

I come from North Carolina and I think yes they should one we need to be safe

 @B7XX9NY from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but issue a state-voting ID for all registered voters and make the registration process easier.

 @B9P6G9V from North Carolina  answered…5mos5MO

No, however, voters should require some form of valid in-state residency verification, especially in local elections.

 @B9MDF6NIndependent from North Carolina  answered…5mos5MO

Voter security is important, but photo ID laws should include free and easy access to IDs so they do not prevent eligible voters from participating.

 @B9K4DYV from North Carolina  answered…5mos5MO

Yes. I believe that everyone should have the right to want to protect the people in their country/state, but there must be Criminal Records requirements.

 @B9C8NXX from North Carolina  answered…5mos5MO

Yes, and add a skin tone threat detector that revokes brown peoples citizenship. (except if she is Candace Owens!1!!!)

 @B8L5THC from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Voters should have a photo ID, but those who cannot access one with evidence could receive assistance in order to vote on exception.

 @B8888RVGreen from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, if these are provided to voters for free at the age of 18, or when requested(especially with thorough background checks to prevent voter fraud)

 @B86S6BT from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, as long as the ID is easy to obtain, which means fixing the backlog at the DMV so people aren't waiting months to be able to get in to get an ID.

 @BBD8DFP from North Carolina  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but we need to make it free and we need to help people get the ID. Photo ID is a good idea, but it can't be used to hold back legal voters.

 @B8C7NHKSocialist from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

yes but every 18+ year old should be given a id for free and if it’s lost given another one for free

 @B8BQZXS from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

No, but should carry and present some form of verification of being at least 18 years old.

 @B88FTZY from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

 @B8FMJWT from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, because all voting should have photo ID for verification of identity and proof of age.

 @B9V39KK from North Carolina  answered…5mos5MO

No, because people who don't have access to resources needed to get an ID should have the right to vote as well.

 @dpauly83Republicananswered…4mos4MO
