15 seems high, but it should be raised to a livable wage. By livable wage, I think people should be able to pay for a home, and they should be able to feed themselves and their children.

No, minimum wage was not designed to be a living wage, but employers should be required to increase pay for employees based longevity and job performance.

 @B9T9LQN from Oklahoma  answered…5mos5MO

No, because we have lazy sons of a dog of people who slack off and procrastinate and not do anything while working. I think that's a little high for minimum wage, because the average wage for teachers in Oklahoma city is around 15 dollars an hour, while they actually do work and people who work at McDonald's I think shouldn't get that pay.

No, but get rid of tipping. Make businesses pay their serving staff the full hourly wage!

 @BDXHZWF from Oklahoma  answered…2wks2W

Yes, as long as other Senators and Governors out of state do not have a say or control of this. (Ex. Ted Cruz)

I am okay with $15 an hour, but I do not like the uncapped CPI adjustments

 @B9JB4CR from Oklahoma  answered…5mos5MO

No, if we raise minimum wage it will most likely raise prices. Prices should be decreased instead.

15 is a bit high, but 7.50 is definitely too low. Maybe 12 an hour is more respectable.

 @B9GQHKR from Texas  answered…5mos5MO

No. $2400 per month is not enough. Instead, use tax penalties to incentivise companies to increase wages based on their annual profits.

 @B9DGHF4 from Oklahoma  answered…5mos5MO

Yes but, not all at once. I support small increases each year until we reach $15.

Only in cities like okc and tulsa. higher minimum wage doesn’t work in rural areas.

Depends on the cost of living I think if you start at 7.25 and SAVE your money like a person with everything to lose you'll become a great citizen over someone who's getting paid and buying weed or booze just to enjoy your life. Some sacrifice has to happen in order to live comfortably eventually.

 @B7ZN9T9 from Oklahoma  answered…8mos8MO

$15 is not enough for anyone to live on, especially with the staggeringly stupid tariffs. A livable wage should be a guaranteed and fundamental right, and $15 won't even cover the basic needs of any person, especially someone with health conditions or children

 @BD7DC85 from Oklahoma  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but preventative measures need to be put in place to prevent inflation

 @BD5569K from Oklahoma  answered…2mos2MO

The minimum wage should be raised to be livable wage and should increase and decrease with inflation.

 @BCTTRRK from Oklahoma  answered…2mos2MO

 @BCT23NY from Oklahoma  answered…2mos2MO

No but like maybe take into consideration family status or maybe just moving it up to like 10-12 is fine and good but 15 puts to much on businness

 @B9PD9WR from Oklahoma  answered…5mos5MO

I feel it should be different for certain jobs. Clerks at convenient stores should be payed lowered because they don’t have to do as much as someone who may work at Braum’s.

 @B9MW9CP from Oklahoma  answered…5mos5MO

Only in some circumstance mainly regarding age and time worked the older you are and longer you have worked your wage should naturally increase

 @MJStevens94Republican  from Texas  answered…5mos5MO

I believe in raising the minimum wage, but not by a drastic amount to $15 an hour. That would cause unemployment and boost the number of people in poverty, and it would increase homelessness. It would shutter many businesses, forcing them to cut hours and raise prices, which would decrease traffic to said businesses, leading to workforce cuts and possibly businesses closing their doors for good.

 @B8X6XGG from Oklahoma  answered…6mos6MO

 @B8W86MX from Oklahoma  answered…6mos6MO

They should raise it to $20 so people can afford to live without working 3 jobs!!!

 @MJStevens94Republican  from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

I favor raising the minimum wage, but $15 an hour is too much of a hike for entry-level jobs. It will lead to mass unemployment and many mom-and-pop businesses shutting their doors, or at the very least cutting employee hours, cutting jobs, or raising prices, which will lead to the other two options.

 @B8KNS8NRepublican  from Oklahoma  answered…7mos7MO

No, because that would create issues with employers, but it should be raised to a livable amount.

 @B8JWJ92 from Oklahoma  answered…7mos7MO

Most likely due to inflation and the greedy government printing too much money that is worth less and less.

 @B8JQG23 from Oklahoma  answered…7mos7MO

No, they should not raise it that much, but they should still raise it.

 @B8JMDQX from Oklahoma  answered…7mos7MO

 @B8HQLW9 from Oklahoma  answered…7mos7MO

Yes. I think since prices are raising so much, pay rate should also be raised.

 @B8GJZCX from Oklahoma  answered…7mos7MO

 @B8BWKL6 from Oklahoma  answered…8mos8MO

Raise it each year by $1 till it reaches $15, then increase it each year by matching the CPI

 @B8BT9F2 from Oklahoma  answered…8mos8MO

It should be raised to the point to where someone could live off of it and have some extra for themself.

 @B8BHRGZ from Oklahoma  answered…8mos8MO

It should be tied to inflation. 15 an hour isn't enough anymore. Based on current inflation minimum wage should be 26 an hour.

No

Minimum wage is for entry level jobs. Raises the minimum wage would cause a directly correlation in increased prices at businesses, job loss, and it would devalue higher skilled workers that make wages of $15 or more as there would be no equal percentage increase.

Should be decided by local business and influenced by marketplace competition

 @BF2XMGL from Oklahoma  answered…4 days4D

Raise minimum wage but have to place a cap to reduce inflation or fee hikes so it balances out or rising cost will always exceed minimum wage cost of living
