The best way to prevent these shootings and homicides is by educating the population on proper fire arms use and having teachers be able to carry them to prevent a shooter from making everyone a target

Without guns many people would have to be physically fit to defend themselves in case of a break in or encounter. the guns aren't the problems there will always be a way to commit homicide on someone.

The reason the numbers aren't going down is that laws are not being enforced. Yes, there are federal minimum requirements, but those have clearly shown to be not enough. Only 14 out of the 50 states require mental background checks, specific licensing/concealed carry, or even training. Making these a federal requirement along with the other requirements would protect the people, and make the process of gun ownership safer for american citizens.

The wrong kind of gun laws are being put into place. the fact that these numbers are not going down is proof that the laws are useless.

I think that while these numbers are high, gun laws can help lower them. It all comes down to how strict we become on things, at least in my opinion.

I disagree with the statement because it isn't only gun control that is required to lower gun deaths but it should also be prevention through mental health resources and public resources that would prevent suicide or homicide.
