I believe that while tending to America's drug issues infiltration from the Mexican Drug Cartels, we should not invade Mexico. However, if they reach out to us we should definitely offer assistance.

Mexico has repeatedly shown it cannot or will not control the cartels. Cartels are not just Mexico’s problem — they are attacking the United States directly. Cartels operate as foreign terrorist organizations. The U.S. already intervenes globally to protect national security.
@B97P36D5mos5MO
@BB3KDFT 4mos4MO
they also affect the United States. Drugs, violence, and illegal weapons cross the border and impact American communities. Because of this, the U.S. has a responsibility to protect its citizens, even if Mexico doesn’t officially ask for help. Waiting for permission could allow the problem to get worse.

I agree, Mexico is a country that's been dealing with this for years, America is here waiting if they need hekp. Plus if we do take action without notifying the Government it's hypocritical of us.

If drug dealers are coming from Mexico into America, we should be allowed to take action as it endangers the people of America.

Drug cartels in Mexico cause problems for the U.S., like bringing drugs and crime across the border. Waiting for Mexico to ask for help could let the cartels get stronger and make things worse. The U.S. should help when we can to stop these problems early, not just wait for a request.

The drug crisis is the ultimate threat to our national security and the future of our most vulnerable citizens, especially children in lower-income communities. It only takes one bad decision to fall into a cycle of addiction or lose a life to fentanyl. We can no longer afford a reactive 'War on Drugs' that waits for the poison to reach our streets. We must move to an active defense strategy: Cutting the head off the organizations that funnel these drugs by using our military and intelligence superiority. By dismantling the leadership and labs at the source, we protect our borders and our youth from a predatory industry that other nations have failed to stop.
Mexico is clearly struggling with itself, government officials are being bought out by the cartel which is just pure corruption. They need the help whether it's from the United States or not. Innocent people are dying when Mexico even tries fighting back.

I think we should try to stop them but only the people who want to fight or are volunteering, and also the people or military from Mexico the people in Mexico shouldn't people scared by the Mexican cartel and the government shouldn't protect them just for money. It is such a beautiful place to just see it look like that.

Waiting for Mexico to ask for the United States assistance limits our ability to respond quickly to the direct threat. These cartels are not just Mexicos problem the traffic drugs like fentanyl into the states causing 10ps of deaths per year. And since this is harming US citizens, the US should have a right to take action on their own.
@BCCM4KRLibertarian3mos3MO
I only agree if it is in our borders and affecting legal US citizens. But we do take control of stuff and intervene in situations that don't concern us and it says in the constitution that we need to stay out of other countries wars and problems for the good of the USA. We spend billions of dollars on other countries problems and wars that shouldn't concern us. We do the same when it comes to Mexican drug cartels so therefore I disagree.

The cartels are no longer criminal groups, but terrorists posing an imminent threat to U.S. national security, justifying self-defense under international law.

Mexican drug cartels leak into the lives of civilians near the southern border and should be dealt with swiftly to protect the American people.

The situation regarding Mexican drug cartels is a deeply complex issue with significant impacts on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, often characterized by intense violence, corruption, and a high-stakes battle for control. As of early 2026, the landscape continues to evolve, with new leadership emerging within major organizations like the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) following the killing of previous leaders

Drug Cartels negatively impact our country regardless of if Mexico asks for our help. We should dismantle Mexican Drug Cartels with or without Mexico.

When harmful drugs are coming into our country, Mexico does not get affected. This means that we could reach millions of casualties due to Mexican-born drugs and Mexico would not ask for help because it is not affecting their citizens.

We have a serious drug problem here. It’s bleeding into our country and making our issue worse. People are dying and drug dealers barely get any time in jail. It’s a screwed up system that needs to be dealt with at the root of the problem. Cut off the suppliers and make it impossible for people to keep abusing drugs.

Mexican drug cartels not only influence Mexico, but many drug cartels run drugs through American ground. They hire poor American mules to provide dirty work of running their drugs across our nation, and use torturous techniques to threaten officials. It is just as big of a problem in America as it is in Mexico.
@BCSN8BB2mos2MO

It is important that a country is not getting poison their neighborhoods and streets with drugs, crime, and violence. It ruins the country and keeps the people of that country living in fear day to day of these cartels. Therefore, when cases become super extreme like this, America should step in to help all of North America as a whole to keep these drug crimes and gangs from spreading.

If it is directly harming our population, we should have be able to play a part in solving it. We shouldn't have complete control, though; we should be able to work with the government of Mexico in order to solve the problem. We cannot be passive if it hurts our people, we must be active and work with one another.
