I believe that while tending to America's drug issues infiltration from the Mexican Drug Cartels, we should not invade Mexico. However, if they reach out to us we should definitely offer assistance.

 @BB4S6QX from Illinois  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes I believe in this statement because we should never invade an ally for something that is stupid and can strain the relationship between us forever

 @BB6CN6L from Tennessee  agreed…4mos4MO

Military intervention without coordination risks escalating violence and damaging diplomatic relations. The smarter approach is partnership, intelligence sharing, and targeted cooperation — not invasion. Strength and restraint can coexist.

 @BB4GVSYPeace and Freedom from Arizona  agreed…4mos4MO

I do agree with this view. We should stop the issues of the Mexican Drug Cartels and do it in an orderly manner. By this, I mean cutting their ties with American buyers and prosecuting them.

 @BB4NQYN from California  agreed…4mos4MO

 @B97JNF6Republican  from Wisconsin  disagreed…6mos6MO

Mexico has repeatedly shown it cannot or will not control the cartels. Cartels are not just Mexico’s problem — they are attacking the United States directly. Cartels operate as foreign terrorist organizations. The U.S. already intervenes globally to protect national security.

 @B97P36D from Iowa  agreed…5mos5MO

They are becoming a more significant problem, even in other areas beyond the United States. They need to be more watched and even stopped.

 @BB3KDFT  from New York  disagreed…4mos4MO

they also affect the United States. Drugs, violence, and illegal weapons cross the border and impact American communities. Because of this, the U.S. has a responsibility to protect its citizens, even if Mexico doesn’t officially ask for help. Waiting for permission could allow the problem to get worse.

 @BB3PFCQ from Nevada  agreed…4mos4MO

Even though mexico doesn't ask for help the cartel is destroying families in some parts of Mexico, they should send help to stop violence and drug transportation.

 @B8W7M3JIndependent  from California  disagreed…6mos6MO

I agree, Mexico is a country that's been dealing with this for years, America is here waiting if they need hekp. Plus if we do take action without notifying the Government it's hypocritical of us.

 @B8Z25JJ from California  commented…6mos6MO

Because its good to know what its actually happen before we either die because of their actions.

 @B9T7D3FIndependent  from Nebraska  disagreed…5mos5MO

If drug dealers are coming from Mexico into America, we should be allowed to take action as it endangers the people of America.

 @B9V5YX5Constitution from Missouri  agreed…5mos5MO

Agree. Cartels should be eliminated via dropping a new sun everywhere a large grouping on foreign soil appears

 @B9TZ93Y  from Florida  agreed…5mos5MO

I agree because these drug dealers came into our nation and in doing so, puts people in danger. So, we should be allowed to take action to protect people in our own country.

 @B9LYG6C  from Kansas  disagreed…5mos5MO

Drug cartels in Mexico cause problems for the U.S., like bringing drugs and crime across the border. Waiting for Mexico to ask for help could let the cartels get stronger and make things worse. The U.S. should help when we can to stop these problems early, not just wait for a request.

 @B9P9C4C from California  commented…5mos5MO

we need to stop them and push the mexican to coordinate and joint task forces in border towns only sending federal agents to mexican terrirotoy but no soldiers

 @B9M4BGK from Florida  agreed…5mos5MO

As a National Interest, We should try to eliminate the cartel ability's to get fent across the borders.

 @B9M8NQL from Massachusetts  agreed…5mos5MO

The US should do as we‘ve done to Al Qaeda and Venezuela when it comes to drug cartels. Drugs are killing our citizens by the millions, and currently offering rehabilitation services is not slowing those at all. We need to get to the root of the issue to end it.

 @BCPLVMCLibertarian  from Colorado  disagreed…2mos2MO

The drug crisis is the ultimate threat to our national security and the future of our most vulnerable citizens, especially children in lower-income communities. It only takes one bad decision to fall into a cycle of addiction or lose a life to fentanyl. We can no longer afford a reactive 'War on Drugs' that waits for the poison to reach our streets. We must move to an active defense strategy: Cutting the head off the organizations that funnel these drugs by using our military and intelligence superiority. By dismantling the leadership and labs at the source, we protect our borders and our youth from a predatory industry that other nations have failed to stop.

 @BCPV5KDDemocrat from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

Mexican Drug Cartel are a primary national security threat that requires an active defense strategy rather than active one.

 @BBXQPTKDemocrat  from Illinois  disagreed…3mos3MO

Mexico is clearly struggling with itself, government officials are being bought out by the cartel which is just pure corruption. They need the help whether it's from the United States or not. Innocent people are dying when Mexico even tries fighting back.

 @BC47H5S from Rhode Island  agreed…3mos3MO

Disagree. I believe that until either the operations effect our own people or a plea of help is given the US should stay out of it not because the people arn't suffering they are I just don't think we would be able to handle it properly

 @BC44WBL  from Florida  agreed…3mos3MO

Cartels are nothing more than corporations which seek profits above all else, they will exist as long as a market for drugs exist. The only way to truly stop cartels is to manage the great internal demand for drugs in the United States.

 @BC55G7Z from Georgia  agreed…3mos3MO

i agree because the cartel's in Mexico are out of control people are scared to come outside so we do need to help out
to protect mexico.

 @BC54ZZV from Wisconsin  disagreed…3mos3MO

I think we should try to stop them but only the people who want to fight or are volunteering, and also the people or military from Mexico the people in Mexico shouldn't people scared by the Mexican cartel and the government shouldn't protect them just for money. It is such a beautiful place to just see it look like that.

 @BC7VYMVRepublican  from Michigan  disagreed…3mos3MO

Waiting for Mexico to ask for the United States assistance limits our ability to respond quickly to the direct threat. These cartels are not just Mexicos problem the traffic drugs like fentanyl into the states causing 10ps of deaths per year. And since this is harming US citizens, the US should have a right to take action on their own.

 @BCCM4KRLibertarian from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

I only agree if it is in our borders and affecting legal US citizens. But we do take control of stuff and intervene in situations that don't concern us and it says in the constitution that we need to stay out of other countries wars and problems for the good of the USA. We spend billions of dollars on other countries problems and wars that shouldn't concern us. We do the same when it comes to Mexican drug cartels so therefore I disagree.

 @BCF9WTG from Mississippi  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes, because if it affects the US, then the US should get involved. It it better to stop the source of the issue than to patch it up.

 @BCCG9MN from Missouri  agreed…3mos3MO

yes they should be killed for killing other drugs are more acceptable but not accepted fent should be death penalty

 @BCBPTD9Green from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

cartels killed so many people each year and the government of United States needs to do something about it Mexico governor is trying her best to do something to get rid of them once and for all

 @BCPYDCY from Maryland  disagreed…2mos2MO

As our neighboring country any problems that plague them will eventually find it's way to our borders. We need to be both reactive and proactive to any problems that may enter or affect our country.

 @BDHT6HN  from Kentucky  disagreed…1mo1MO

The cartels are no longer criminal groups, but terrorists posing an imminent threat to U.S. national security, justifying self-defense under international law.

 @BDJZTWWRepublican from Colorado  agreed…1mo1MO

Cartels are responsible for crime and drug problems in America. We should police our own but when the cartels reach into the US they should be treated the same as terrorists who attack our country

 @B8RD4Y5  from Georgia  disagreed…7mos7MO

Americans are greatly affected by these cartels and action must be taken to stabilize the situation.

 @B8SNYK4 from Oklahoma  agreed…7mos7MO

yes but i don't know if your aware but most drugs cartels now have moved to border towns of canada and i believe they are pay politicians to stand by and let this happen.we need to build ICE stations along the border of canada ot prevent cartels member from entering the us.

 @B8SZQ6DNo Labels from Oklahoma  agreed…7mos7MO

If it is not in our country then we shouldn't be worried about it if they don't have a problem that it is going on in their country we shouldn't either it's not even our country to be worried about it, It's none of our business.

 @BBDXWH5Peace and Freedom  from South Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

Mexico , should handle their own cartel problems and the US should only interact when there is a threat to involve the US or the US is involved

 @BB9ZKDM  from New York  disagreed…4mos4MO

Drug cartels are often found to be in collaboration with corrupt politicians in Mexico; this makes it difficult to ask for assistance when national politics are

 @BC5V9BG  from Pennsylvania  disagreed…3mos3MO

Mexican drug cartels leak into the lives of civilians near the southern border and should be dealt with swiftly to protect the American people.

 @BC5CMNK  from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

The situation regarding Mexican drug cartels is a deeply complex issue with significant impacts on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, often characterized by intense violence, corruption, and a high-stakes battle for control. As of early 2026, the landscape continues to evolve, with new leadership emerging within major organizations like the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) following the killing of previous leaders

 @B9K29RW  from Florida  disagreed…5mos5MO

They interfere with our daily lives, one less country funneling drugs, especially along our border will help improve the lives of Americans.

 @B93DDV8  from Georgia  disagreed…6mos6MO

Drug Cartels negatively impact our country regardless of if Mexico asks for our help. We should dismantle Mexican Drug Cartels with or without Mexico.

 @BD239SC  from Michigan  disagreed…2mos2MO

Mexico has proven they can't control the Drug Cartels, if we don't help then they will greatly infiltrate the southern border, affecting US Citizens.

 @BCJ6FGN  from Montana  disagreed…3mos3MO

The drugs and the effects of the Cartels impacts everyone and the communities we live in, so if there is something we can do to stop them, then we should.

 @BBPZL2SDemocrat  from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

When harmful drugs are coming into our country, Mexico does not get affected. This means that we could reach millions of casualties due to Mexican-born drugs and Mexico would not ask for help because it is not affecting their citizens.

 @BBSWWFWRepublican from Maine  agreed…3mos3MO

Drugs are a problem and we need to close the border and enhance the security on the southern border.

 @BC8WW99Independent from Florida  disagreed…3mos3MO

That if Mexico drug trade is inherently dangerous and hurting our citizens . The government should try to fix the issue.

 @BBRZWRP from Kentucky  disagreed…4mos4MO

I would say that even without Mexico's permission the cartel is still trafficking drugs into the US which would make it only reasonable to do whatever is necessary.

 @BB3HKK4Republican from Iowa  disagreed…4mos4MO

The drug cartels' largest market is the United States of America; therefore, we should take action against the cartels to ensure the safety of our citizens.

 @B9RRS6C from Utah  disagreed…5mos5MO

The Mexican cartels bring the drugs into the U.S. and that kills many Americans and causes crime so it involves us so we need to stop it.

 @B9RS5NJ from California  commented…5mos5MO

they are killing Americans therefore are a terrorist group and should be killed on sight

 @BC9B2KK from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

If Mexico needs help and ask for it, we should try to help given our surplus of resources. However, it is not our business if they dont need help.

 @B8SHYC5 from North Carolina  disagreed…7mos7MO

If the Mexican Drug Cartels come into the U.S., we have the right to get them out of the country without Mexico's approval. Also, if they become a problem in Mexico, I think Mexico would appreciate our help in eliminating the cartels.

 @B8SG5KWRepublican from Florida  disagreed…7mos7MO

You let Mexicans cross the border and into our country with drugs. It is now our problem and we shall deal with it as we please.

 @BD2878R  from California  disagreed…2mos2MO

If the U.S does not want to permit the people of other countries to combat issues that are happening currently in the U.S then i believe that the U.S shouldn't combat other countries issues unless they are permitted to by Mexico.

 @BCQPRRT  from Alabama  disagreed…2mos2MO

We should still help them prevent this drug cartel because it's a huge deal and people are dying because of drug use. That's like saying you'll only take someone to the hospital if they tell you they need to go.

 @BDKDT9K from Ohio  disagreed…1mo1MO

The Mexican Drug cartels are not only effecting Mexico, they are effecting the US and breaking our laws as well. We should have the ability to enforce our laws without the "permission" of a different country.

 @BCTNWGC from Georgia  disagreed…2mos2MO

US citizens are dying due to these drug cartels. They are basically terrorists, and the Mexican government has proven ineffective and careless when it comes to stopping the distribution of fentanyl across their borders.

 @B98JF7X from Wyoming  disagreed…5mos5MO

Mexico's drug cartels aren't just an issue in Mexico; they also end up being our issue because the drugs end up getting smuggled into the United States. This causes major drug overdoses and illegal drugs in the United States, and it tears the US apart.

 @B9N2KKL from Pennsylvania  disagreed…5mos5MO

We have a serious drug problem here. It’s bleeding into our country and making our issue worse. People are dying and drug dealers barely get any time in jail. It’s a screwed up system that needs to be dealt with at the root of the problem. Cut off the suppliers and make it impossible for people to keep abusing drugs.

 @B8YPZ69Constitution from Iowa  disagreed…6mos6MO

When people bring drugs into our country, it is our problem, and it is justified to intervene at the source.

 @B8VCB9J from Pennsylvania  disagreed…6mos6MO

Mexican drug cartels pose a direct, ongoing national security threat and immediate public health crisis to the US, and potentially justify unilateral action under the principle of self-defense.

 @BBCL7W6 from Indiana  disagreed…4mos4MO

Drug cartels affect both Mexico and the United States, so the U.S. should be responsible to protect it citicaizans even if Mexico doesn't ask.

 @B9LXXGW from Tennessee  disagreed…5mos5MO

These drugs from Mexico are not just affecting Mexico; they are also affecting us in the US because they are bringing them through our borders to children and adults.

 @B97M6ZB from Maryland  disagreed…5mos5MO

I agree with that statement as it is currently unnecessary, however if drugs further effect the USA then we should be in legislation to wage war against cartels.

 @B973SKP from Maryland  disagreed…6mos6MO

The U.S. is directly affected by the drugs that are being smuggled into the U.S., and this results in hundreds of thousands of deaths annually.

 @B96GDSLfrom Guam  disagreed…6mos6MO

It is our responsibility to rid all American nations of cartel terrorism. The Monroe Doctrine must be enforced.

 @B8TH9QK from Texas  disagreed…7mos7MO

The argument that the U.S. should only offer help regarding Mexican drug cartels "if Mexico asks for our help" is generally rooted in the principle of national sovereignty and the avoidance of foreign intervention.

 @B8SRHPW from Texas  disagreed…7mos7MO

drug cartels affect American citizens every day, with smuggled drugs being brought into cities destroying entire families, more action needs to be brought.

 @B8RWST6 from Tennessee  disagreed…7mos7MO

We have a bad drug problem in the U.S as it is already. There are already drugs in the U.S from the Cartels and they need to be stopped. If they are already in U.S territory then we should be able to do something about it.

 @BCV4CGNIndependent from Kansas  disagreed…2mos2MO

If the cartels are outside of the U.S., we should not intervene unless they ask for help. If they reside inside the U.S., we should have full control as to what happens because they are on American soil.

 @B99FPSD from Michigan  disagreed…5mos5MO

Mexican drug cartels not only influence Mexico, but many drug cartels run drugs through American ground. They hire poor American mules to provide dirty work of running their drugs across our nation, and use torturous techniques to threaten officials. It is just as big of a problem in America as it is in Mexico.

 @BCSN8BB from North Carolina  disagreed…2mos2MO

that cartel activities now constitute an "unwilling or unable" imminent threat to U.S. national security, allowing for self-defense under international law regardless of formal consent.

 @B97DZ8F from Illinois  disagreed…6mos6MO

It is important that a country is not getting poison their neighborhoods and streets with drugs, crime, and violence. It ruins the country and keeps the people of that country living in fear day to day of these cartels. Therefore, when cases become super extreme like this, America should step in to help all of North America as a whole to keep these drug crimes and gangs from spreading.

 @BCRZSM2Republicandisagreed…2mos2MO

no because the cartels are dangerous and drugs are an illegal way of making money so no i will not help them

 @BC3QJLVRepublican from Virginia  disagreed…3mos3MO

I feel as if they do need help because the drug cartels need to be abolished to prevent further deaths.

 @BB45DP7 from Tennessee  disagreed…4mos4MO

Although the situation inside foreign nations is up to them, if the issue is within our own territory then we should only act upon said action whithin our own territory.

 @BDYRKR5Independent from Connecticut  disagreed…1wk1W

It is important to fight against cartels regardless of whether they are from Mexico or any other country

 @BDHK37M from Texas  disagreed…1mo1MO

 @BCZWB38Republican from Kansas  disagreed…2mos2MO

I think we should take the drug cartel out they are smuggling drugs over our borders and need to be stopped they are killing us

 @BCV4BC7 from Alabama  disagreed…2mos2MO

I think we have enough issues we have to fix in our own country before getting involved in a bunch of other people's business

 @BCTZNJZ from Georgia  disagreed…2mos2MO

Some people may think that we don't need permission on how our government should handle Mexican Drug Cartels but I believe that we should be more careful before taking action immediately.

 @BCQBRTKNo Labels from California  disagreed…2mos2MO

I disagree because Mexico government could be thinking they have it all under control, however the people suffering through these accidents could be asking for help to stop this.

 @BCQ67F3 from Ohio  disagreed…2mos2MO

If the Mexican Drug Cartels are only a problem in Mexico, then why would we try to involve ourselves in something, if nobody asked us to? If they were to ask for help sure, but if not then we shouldn't be involved.

 @BCPDPJVNo Labels from Utah  disagreed…2mos2MO

If it is directly harming our population, we should have be able to play a part in solving it. We shouldn't have complete control, though; we should be able to work with the government of Mexico in order to solve the problem. We cannot be passive if it hurts our people, we must be active and work with one another.

 @BCMV24F from Illinois  disagreed…3mos3MO

Mexico is corrupt, and obviously need our help because they have been failing at stopping the cartels for years.

 @BC3SMJD from Michigan  disagreed…3mos3MO

Mexican drug cartels pose a direct threat to our country, regardless of what Mexico says. By reeling in drugs, they get more and more people addicted which is a big problem. This needs to be stopped or else they will ruin our beautiful country.

 @BBYXB6L from Pennsylvania  disagreed…3mos3MO

Drug cartels don't operate only inside Mexico. Their activity affect multiple countries through trafficking, violence, and crime networks. Drug cartels operate across borders, so it's reasonable for other government to express positions or work on solutions even if they aren't formally invited.

 @BBR49XN from Michigan  disagreed…4mos4MO

My best counter argument to the position on Mexican Drug Cartels is restricting it because it is bad for the environment and other people´s safety in terms of drugs.

 @BBMGXH6Republican from Florida  disagreed…4mos4MO

The Mexican cartels are filling our country with drugs and causing deaths to our own citizens. Not only this, they have trapped our own American citizens in Mexico.

 @BB3WZXX from Arizona  disagreed…4mos4MO

If they ask for help, then give them help. If they refuse our help, don't give them help. It is not our country, so if they don't want our help, then we simply won't.

 @BB2XG58 from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Waiting for Mexico to ask for help ignores the reality that cartel violence is already a direct U.S. threat, not just Mexico’s problem.

 @B9ZDWYHRepublican from North Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

The U.S. is interested in addressing the threat of the cartels regardless of a formal request, as their activities directly impact U.S national security and communities through violence and drug trafficking.

 @B9Z6H47Constitution from Kentucky  disagreed…4mos4MO

The cartel has been deemed a terrorist organization. If it affects America, we don’t need Mexico to ask for help
