Guns are not the things that are harming people, it is the people that are using the guns that are harming people. There are people all over the world that have guns and do not perform heinous acts like some people. Why should some people have to suffer due to the actions of other people even when they did nothing wrong.

Liberals are the ones who kill people but republicans use guns for what they say theyll use them for like hunting and selfdefense

#4 Engaged Counter Argument Informed Gun Control

Trying to put labels of "democrat" or "republican" on mass shooters is counterproductive, as well as simply inaccurate. Data strongly suggests that political affiliation has extremely little to do with most mass violence, and in the cases of political motives, it is almost always due to radicalization on online spaces, which have little to do with actual politics.

#4 Engaged Counter Argument Informed Gun Control

"Guns don't kill people... oh wait, yes they do." There is a very very large difference between intent and capability, it is true that a gun isn't going to do harm in the hands of someone who doesn't intend to do harm with it, but a person with the intent to do harm is not going to be able to do that harm on the same scale without a gun. If a crazy person wants to go shoot up an elementary school, if they have a gun nothing can really stop them. As soon as you take that gun away though, they are not going to be able to do a whole lot.

In this I say that it is not the gun that kills people but it is people that kill people and removing them like drugs were ban criminals will have guns but law abiding citizens will not have a gun to protect their property and their family from danger

 @B8TJ6XL from Arkansas  disagreed…7mos7MO

Putting more restrictions on guns wont do anything the people that are killing and robbing with guns are buying them illegally anyways.

 @B8W5G6N from Alabama  disagreed…6mos6MO

This view clearly goes against our Second Amendment right to bear arms and is completely unconstitutional.

 @B8X8KRR  from Pennsylvania  agreed…6mos6MO

Gun control should be heavily regulated because there have been too many school shootings and should not even be an issue.

 @B8VCJL4 from South Carolina  agreed…6mos6MO

I agree with this comment. Gun control should be way more restricted especially with the rise of gun violence

 @B8V47L2 from California  agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with this because any person with mental health problems or disorders that manage to obtain a firearm without being in the right mindset can end up as a disaster and a danger to those around them.

 @B8TZ339 from Florida  agreed…7mos7MO

Having restrictions may not increase peace but it will increase order, Not everyone will like additional regulations on gun control but it is necessary for public safety.

 @B8TFYVLWomen’s Equality from Texas  agreed…7mos7MO

I agree that restrictions can help maintain peace and order, but we should also address root causes like education and mental health.

 @B8TDKBH from Texas  agreed…7mos7MO

Because it is way to easy for people to buy a gun andd you can buy a gun at 18 but not alcohol? like it ust makes no sense to me.

 @B8T75ZD from Kansas  agreed…7mos7MO

Yes, I agree because gun violence has begun to be very common in schools and students are passing away, with more restrictions mistakes like that would not happen and citizens would feel safe out in the open.

 @B8SNYXTWomen’s Equality from Oregon  agreed…7mos7MO

I completely agree. Guns should not be banned; that's very unrealistic, but restrictions are totally reasonable and safer.

 @B8SDT8ZDemocrat from Florida  agreed…7mos7MO

If you shoot someone thats harmful, you gotta be careful who you sell guns too. Restrictions are a must

 @B8S8TWT from Pennsylvania  agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with this. I feel that these days there are lots of mass shootings, especially in schools and public places. For the safety of the American people, the government should do more with gun control policies by making them stricter.

 @B8S757Y from Washington  agreed…7mos7MO

i agree. i think that honestly there should be no reason for people to own guns. a taser is good enough. and guns we’re made to kill. so it just doesn’t make sense

 @B8S6L8WNo Labels from California  agreed…7mos7MO

Yes I agree, Gun Control should have more restrictions so that we can go through society with less worries of our day being our last.

 @B8S6G4CWomen’s Equality from California  agreed…7mos7MO

more strict regualtion on gun control, who owns the guns and minimizing the risks of school or public shootings/violence.

 @B8XRDDS from Arizona  disagreed…6mos6MO

I think restriction will not work either way as people will still find a way around it regardless, also it is your right to have a gun but maybe we can do a strike system with guns in hopes to smarten people up.

 @B8S74KNDemocrat from California  agreed…7mos7MO

Yes there should be more restrictions on purchasing a gun due to the violence and vile thoughts society has on harming innocent civilians with guns.

 @B8S6YMW from Oklahoma  agreed…7mos7MO

I definitely agree with the author because gun restrictions will decrease the amount of unnecessary gun violence happening in America.

 @B8S6Q5G from California  agreed…7mos7MO

Yes, I agree more restrictions should be put in place to protect people who might not know what they’re doing.

 @B8S6L4XPeace and Freedom from California  agreed…7mos7MO

I think there should be more regulations on owning a gun so the firearms can not end up in the wrong hands.

 @B8V9F5WRepublican from South Carolina  disagreed…6mos6MO

The guns are not the problem. Its the people with the guns who use them to kill instead of using them to protect themselves in certain situations such as a robbery
