I believe that it's important to know that even though the color of one's skin should not matter, that doesn't stop people from believing it does, and therefore, we should teach our children that it is unacceptable for them to discriminate against people of color. And by doing so, we also acknowledge the hateful and cruel experiences people have been put through for decades. Just by not cussing the color of one's skin doesn't mean all prejudice and racism will be wiped off the face of the Earth.
