Our country is built on race and racism; it is the foundation of history. Children will understand this bad side of history, yet know how to grow from it. Now, history is often censored or skimmed in textbooks. Educators must have the ability to teach all parts of history, even if it is the ugly parts.

I agree that we as students and the future of our country should be learning about how we used to be about racism. It’s important to learn and know about so we can learn from those mistakes, grow from them, and be better as people, and create a more accepting environment. I feel like it’s very important for educators to teach every part of our history -the good, the bad, the ugly- all of it, and if they can’t do that, then maybe we need a different educator/group of educators who have the ability to teach every part of history.

I agree with the importance of recognizing societal flaws; however, I believe teenagers are better equipped to handle this subject than young children. They will likely have already encountered some form of racial prejudice, so it will not be their first introduction, and an explanation for it can be provided through a proper education. I also think children are more likely to start seeing other races as "different" when taught Critical Race Theory, even if that is not the intent.

I agree, teaching generations about race theory and the issues of the modern day could teach them very well, for them to accept, show kindness, and to help stop the current cause near the future. History now is skimmed or erased throughout America history, in no standards should we be allowing it as every part of history is important.

Children in K-5 should not immediately learn about Critical Race Theory, they should not be taught something like that so early, they will be confused and won't grasp on the full understanding. While 6-12 definitely should learn, as it is a big impact to the world, as they should know all the parts of history, especially the truth so we can all grow from it.

Yes, all history must be taught, but teaching students that they are inherently evil for their skin color and for the actions of their ancestors, which they didn't participate in. You demonize one group while victimizing the other, which just creates more social divide. As MLK Jr said, judge someone not based upon the color of their skin but the contents of their character.

CRT is just racism used against white people to feel guilty and at fault for a past they had no part in. The wrongs of the past have been righted. Now we should talk about race realism and see the statistical realities of the crime rates and the demographics who are objectively significantly more violent than white people.
