The cultivation of lab grown meat opens the options and supply to a strong economic consumer group, who will purchase this meat from their own will in accordance to their own values. Additionally, existing naturally-harvested meat is incredibly environmentally harmful, and invites disease through poor animal conditions, genetic homogeneity, and lack of sanitation. This impacts later health of human consumers, and the quality of the meat. Lab grown meat is not “unnatural” meat, because it is composed of real skin and flesh cells from the animals, with the benefits of no animal cruelty, better health for animals and human consumers, decreasing carbon emissions and toxic waste, increasing guaranteed meat quality, and freeing agricultural land for better, more socially and economically viable use (housing, businesses, etc.)
