I would say, however had that stance, is just plain stupid. Lab grown Meat?? Meat comes from natural, living creatures. That is like mixing chemicals together, making it clear, and saying it is water.

 @BBMLFLV from Alabama  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meat seems unecessary when meat is natural all over the world; however there is a gray area, what if you don't eat meat so artificial meat is the way to go.

 @BBPWV6V from Washington  agreed…4mos4MO

We don't know enough about it yet, so we should learn about it before we implement it. Its like when we were all up with radiation in the past before we knew it was horrible for us. Then we had to implement that out.

 @BBHYNZT from Oregon  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree, lab-grown meat is mixing something unnatural and passing it off as something nature did, we also don't know any long-term health effects this could cause.

 @BBKB6ZD from Washington  commented…4mos4MO

Neither provided a counter arguement, however this one used proper grammer and made rationale arguements.

 @BBP4YSM from New Jersey  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meat is an excuse for corporations to feed humans straight junk. With fastfood, we are already dealing with chemical induced food, if we were MADE in a lab, it would only be worse. Also, I'm sure the difference between real and lab grown would fall under the radar with the FDA, which is flat out disgusting.

 @B9WS6NG  from Missouri  disagreed…5mos5MO

Lab grown meat is not healthy at all. Fake food kills you slowly. it might keep you filled, it might keep you going, but real meat will forever be better then lab grown meat.

 @B9XPTH7 from Maryland  agreed…4mos4MO

I believe that lab-grown meat, in the long run, won't provide the same benefits as real meat. It might satisfy your hunger, but it could bring other, as yet unforeseen, problems. In any case, if they plan to put it on the market, they should sell it for what it is: artificial meat, and not try to pass it off as real meat.

 @B9YLGRT from South Carolina  agreed…4mos4MO

High Costs and Scalability: Producing meat in a laboratory is currently very expensive and difficult to scale to mass-market levels compared to traditional farming.

Environmental "Myth": Some studies suggest that if the energy-intensive process relies on non-renewable energy, it could actually be worse for the climate than conventional beef.

"Yuck" Factor and Naturalness: Many consumers feel that lab-grown meat is "unnatural" and feel a sense of disgust or distrust towards it.

Impact on Farmers: There is concern that this technology could disrupt traditional farming communities, causing economic challenges for ranchers.

Regulatory & Safety Concerns: Some states and countries are actively trying to ban or restrict it due to unknown long-term health effects and, in some cases, ideological opposition

 @B9XMWLW from New York  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree, Every citizen deserves natural food lab grown meat has been linked to several cancers over the past couples of decades and had led to the US being one of the most unhealthy countries in the world.

 @B9XN68H from Wisconsin  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this comment because in the days of new basically all foods are either prosected or artificial so throwing in lab grown meat would kill neutral foods

 @BBRXWTN  from Kentucky  disagreed…4mos4MO

I feel as though all companies should be held to the same standard. I don't feel like Lab Grown Meat would be a good protein substance for someone like myself with health issues.

 @BBSHBL5 from Texas  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this comment about lab-grown meat. People should have the choice to decide what kind of food they want to eat, whether it’s traditionally raised meat or lab-grown alternatives. It’s important that consumers know where their food comes from and how it’s made. At the same time, new technology in food production should be discussed openly so people can understand both the benefits and the concerns. Sharing opinions respectfully can help others feel more comfortable speaking up too.

 @BBSRDTM from Tennessee  agreed…3mos3MO

I think transparency is the key. While I don’t agree with lab grown meat if it happens to hit the market consumers should be made aware of the difference. Hu

 @BBW6L85Republican from California  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree, real meat that had lived at a farm and had real food such as grass and could free roam presents a much better healthy food rather than something super processed filled with a lot of ingredients.

 @BBVYQ8CNo Labels from Michigan  agreed…3mos3MO

Agreed you cant just grow protein in a lab you have to have actual muscle building which is where most the protein comes from also sounds nasty and unhealthy for it to come from a lab instead of the hard working farmers.

 @BBDWG5PDemocrat  from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meat should not be allowed due to it not being organic or artificial there are more things that can go wrong with things being grown in a lab than being butchered.

 @BBF49DJ from Oregon  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree, unless it's approved by the FDA it shouldn't be available to anyone. Also, since lab grown meat is made out of chemicals, it can potentially increase cancer and other illnesses rates.

 @BBF4XVJ from North Carolina  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this statement because lab grown meat is not what nature intended for humans to eat. There could also be deadly substances within the meat; more research needs to be done.

 @BBF5RWHSocialistfrom Maine  commented…4mos4MO

Why would anyone put deadly susbtances in food? Do you have done any reading on the topic?

 @BBF4X69  from Michigan  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meats are terrible for people to consume. The human body is optimized for high levels of meat, almost to the point of hypercarnivorism. The human stomach has an acidic pH of 1.3 - 1.5, a value lower than that of a lion. Human teeth is built for shredding meat, and our large intestine is specially narrow to digest large amounts of meat easily.

 @BBLZ8PL from Minnesota  agreed…4mos4MO

lab grown meat is not even worth the effort put into it. the amount of work it costs to create for sucha mediocre product that does not effectivly supply teh consumer is pointless, and then with it being out of the control of the people, as they cannot grow their own meat (unlike butchering their own animals)

 @BCWX3DQDemocrat  from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

Why THE **** should we nationalize and get the federal government involved in lab grown food. No shade, but the federal government should not be involved in lab grown food of any sort.

 @BCXLKTX from Utah  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree. Lab grown meats are putting harmful things in our body and will end up making us have problems down the road. Stop taking our farm and ranching land and let us grow our own meats.

 @BCXMKQZNo Labels from Alaska  agreed…2mos2MO

I believe the federal government should be involved because lab grown meat could lead to health risks that aren't worth risking in a growing society. If not watched carefully, we could end up eating lab grown meat that could lead to cancer being at higher risk, which is what we already struggle to cure.

 @BCXH8D7 from Florida  agreed…2mos2MO

I do not think lab grown meat is good and I strongly hate the idea and oppose lab grown meat along with meat with preservatives loaded in it. Why would we poison the meat that should be healthy just because it looks like it tastes better

 @BCX8MT8 from Kansas  agreed…2mos2MO

I feel like we shouldn't have lab grown meat at all because from what I know is that it has increased causes of cancer and is banned in europe.

 @BD55P46Libertarian  from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

I'm sorry but I just do not like that people that are vegan need to be putting their beliefs onto me, just eat what you want.

 @BD5888D  from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

Lab Grown meats would hurt a lot of people like farmers, butchers etc. I don't agree with lab grown meat because animals have been used for food, clothing and more for thousands of years but at the same time, there should be more regulations and laws to ensure they are being killed in a humane way.

 @BD5985M from Missouri  agreed…2mos2MO

Eat what you want. its a free country if you want to be vegan, be vegan. If not, then don't push other people to eat your lab grown artificial **** .

 @BD62PVF from Arizona  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree because forcing something you believe on someone else isn't right and I should be forced to do something or like something because someone else likes or supports it.

 @BD6M79Y from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree because forcing something you believe on someone else isn't right and I should be forced to do something or like something because someone else likes or supports it.

 @BBBLRTG  from Minnesota  disagreed…4mos4MO

Humans should not have to buy lab grown meat, humans shouldn't have to eat something unnatrual with chemicals it should be healthy.

 @BBCKM3H from Connecticut  agreed…4mos4MO

I think lab grown meat is a sort of dangerous path to go on i think it should be studied more on how it could affect the body long term wise

 @BBCSM2YPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  commented…4mos4MO

I think lab-grown meat can be dangerous when not researched enough. It's a healthy innovation and can prevent overproduction of farm meats, allowing for better, more sustainable, safer farm meat, along with safe, healthy alternatives like lab-grown meat. thatbiis fda approved.

 @BBCM45H from Ohio  agreed…4mos4MO

agreed stores should be selling fresh organic produced not filled with toxin and chemicals from fertilizers.

 @BBCL2C4Democrat from Georgia  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meat iss bad for our health but if we grow everything it might be the hunger games bc there's so many ppl and the food might not grow in time. ALso there's growing seasons and stuff that interfere with it

 @BBBV9L8 from South Carolina  commented…4mos4MO

I agree with this statement. People should not be forced to eat a type of meat as they are the ones spending their hard earned money on the product.

 @BB2MDVXRepublican  from Ohio  disagreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meat should be banned by the government because the lab meat can contain traces of microplastics.

 @BB3FTHP from New Hampshire  agreed…4mos4MO

If lab-grown meat has shown to have traces of microplastics, it is unsafe to consume; however, it can be cheaper for those who may not be able to afford regular meat and is more environmentally friendly. So instead of banning it, they should find ways to eliminate the microplastics in lab-grown meat and provide evidence its safe to consume.

 @BB2QT7L from Georgia  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this comment about Lab Grown Meat, though I'm not sure if it should be banned completely. There are microplastics in nearly everything nowadays.

 @BB2MX2R from West Virginia  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this statement because microplastics are dangerous to human bodies and is not supposed to belong there at all.

 @BB328TK from Indiana  agreed…4mos4MO

I somewhat agree, lab grown meat can be harmful because it doesn't give the same nutrients as natural meat would.

 @BB6X7TT  from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Lab-grown meat itself is immoral and unnatural, overall shouldn't be produced and it very disturbing to think about!

 @BB7QTN5  from Louisiana  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab grown meat is weird, but if it was cheaper, then it could be beneficial to poor people. However, I think lab grown meat is not as healthy as regular meat. Scientists should come up with healthier lab grown meat.

 @BBBZK8W from Utah  agreed…4mos4MO

No, though meat is in high demand their could be huge issues with lab grown meat. We were never meant to consume fake meat. The best and real nutrients comes from real animals. We should be funding more into the planet instead of these fake foods. That is my opinion and I truly believe the US wouldn't have so many health problems if we took better care of our people by funding in cattle and real food.

 @BB79HBZ  from California  agreed…4mos4MO

I 100% agree! If we farmed sustainably we wouldn’t have to even create lap grown alternatives for meat !

 @BBCSM2YPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  commented…4mos4MO

Lab-grown meat can be a healthy alternative while we re-grow and rearrange the farmed meat to be more sustainable, healthier, and more habitable for the animals. Animals require respect if we're going to eat them.

 @BB78YLF from Nevada  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab growing meat is unnatural and shouldn't be long in your body, our body needs the right and natural ingredients instead of chemical like food.

 @BBWK7NW  from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

Lab-grown meat is often presented as a technologically advanced alternative. However, when we analyze this proposal, we discover that many of its promises remain unproven and that, in some cases, it could create more problems than it solves. My position is not to reject innovation, but rather to demand responsibility and evidence before transforming a food system that directly affects health, the environment, and the global economy.

The supposed environmental sustainability of cultured meat is deeply uncertain. Its production requires enormous amounts of energy to maintain bioreactors in stabl…  Read more

 @BBWTT7C from Pennsylvania  agreed…3mos3MO

America already has one of the largest food-producing corporations, but there is a lack of care. We have all of the tools to provide healthier and smarter food options for the people, yet we still poison our people with harmful and unstudied dies and other genetically modified foods. It is unacceptable that we continue to sell these goods even when they could lead to health issues for consumers down the road.

 @BBWR6D6 from New York  agreed…3mos3MO

My stand on lab grown meat is that its an awful and disgusting idea. No food should be grown in a lab made to replicate something that its not

 @BBXMDV3 from Illinois  commented…3mos3MO

 @BBWYCMWagreed…3mos3MO

It may be cheap which is good for the less fortunate. But it also creates health issues or the possibility for health related issues.

 @BBWX2SN from Ohio  agreed…3mos3MO

it is terrible, ,why are we giving the people fake food and things like poison in our food. The people in charge of this country are poisoning the people and turning their brains mush so they can just take over. The people running out country are all seriously messed up people who lots of them deserve the worst.

 @BBXMDV3 from Illinois  commented…3mos3MO

It will help reduce our carbon emission and make food faster with out have a detrimental impact on local speices.

 @BC9DB77  from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

We need more testing to see long term affects of Lab Grown Meat before making it widely available. It could be a potentially viable solution, but it should not be pushed at this time.

 @BCB4YGZ from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

I respect the innovation behind cultivated meat, but I don’t support it. I think there are better ways to improve sustainability and animal welfare within traditional agriculture rather than moving food production into a lab.

 @BCB9FHT from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

Lab-grown meat should be legal to sell. But it shouldn't be in fast food or like hidden, it should be obvious that it is lab-grown, and people should have the choice to buy real or lab-grown. I wouldn't eat that thoough.

 @BCB9G8H from California  agreed…3mos3MO

I disagree. I think lab grown meet will instead just promote chemical and un healthy foods. We should focus on plant based alternatives instead.

 @BCB9XVC from Nebraska  agreed…3mos3MO

I completely agree with this statement. I do not think Lab Grown Meat is a good source currently simply because it is not researched and proven enough or to the standard it needs to be.

 @BBRKN6T  from Florida  disagreed…4mos4MO

It does not provide the nutrients we need to remain health or be green. All this does is suit the quatity for demand and affects our health in the long run.

 @BBSLL75 from Georgia  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree that it does not add to the remain health or be green. It is messed with and lab grown instead of letting meat be what it has been all these years.

 @BBRTQNP from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

I honestly think its better to educate people in grown meat that it is important to know the lab grown meat of how its made.

 @BBRPM3TNo Labels from Tennessee  agreed…4mos4MO

i agree that we should be cautious. We don yet have the long-term data on how these cultured cells affect the human body compared to natural meat.

 @BBTLN97  from Georgia  disagreed…3mos3MO

We do not know the potential side effects from it, especially in the long-term. Lab Grown Meat has not undergone adequate research to verify its safety for consumption. Lab Grown Meat takes away from the agricultural industry, which is the backbone of America and provides resources for every other industry in America.

 @BBTS7BY from Virginia  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree and if you would't eat it and know the consequences of eating it why would you feed it to the general public

 @BBTVP9X from Pennsylvania  agreed…3mos3MO

I do not agree with lab grown meat, who really knows what can be put inside the meat. There is evil in the world and it could easily ruin you as a person. Cross contamination problems would most likely be a big thing.

 @BBTQV4HWorking Family  from Oregon  agreed…3mos3MO

There is no point in lab grown meat its unnatural and it's not at all needed. People just need to live with the amount of meat they consume because we don't need as much as we're eating of it

 @BBTSLHY from Georgia  agreed…3mos3MO

Absolutely not, we should not be putting harmful, unnatural ingredients and chemicals in our bodies.

 @B9WX2WB  from Georgia  disagreed…5mos5MO

lab grown meats, shouldnt be a thing because it sounds gross... then not to mention who would think LAB grown meats sounds? it could have so many chemicals, disgusting bacteria and god knows what...

 @B9XNWS7 from Iowa  agreed…4mos4MO

I like how they mentioned the artificial lab-grown meat could have bacteria, chemicals, and whatever other pesticides or unsafe, harmful ingredients. Using machines to make what is supposed to replicate meat is hard to do when the safe, less harmful way is using cows and ensuring the meat is okay for individual use. Of course, it takes more than a single human to process and clean the meat from a cow, but the difference is that being non-lab-grown means the meat is more nutritious, safer for the economy, and safer for each indivudal food that contains meat.

 @BB2DC4R  from California  agreed…4mos4MO

Lab-grown meat needs stricter manufacturing regulations and supervision. While it could potentially be a real option in the future, with current technology and FDA guidelines, that is simply not the case.

 @B9X2JCC from Colorado  agreed…5mos5MO

Big corporations just want to make money off of lab grown meats, meanwhile ranchers are struggling year after year just to make ends meet, we need to let the ranchers and the people that live their life for this supply the meat 100% grass fed beef and healthy chickens and hogs

 @B9XRKXXPeace and Freedom from South Carolina  agreed…4mos4MO

yes I agree with this comment, there are so many chemicals going into the food we are supposed to be consuming which might lead to the spread of disease or cause weird things to happen to peoples bodies

 @BBF8JSR  from Missouri  disagreed…4mos4MO

God's design was never to eat lab grown meat. Cows are not causing Global Warming. If you want the government to continue to poison our food, increase obesity, and overall control your life then Lab Grown Meat is what you're asking for. I prefer real meat over crickets.

 @BBG754N from California  commented…4mos4MO

 @BCSMK6W  from Massachusetts  disagreed…2mos2MO

It is not natural to be making fake meat in any manner. Nor is it sustainable for our environment, it is shown to emit more harm to the environment than traditional meat productions. It also does not completely cut the exploration of animals, cells are still needed for the growth of meat.

 @BCXMKQZNo Labels from Alaska  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree. Lab grown meat contains chemicals that ultimately could harm us more than regular meat in the long run. Plus, there will be so many preservatives and chemicals in the meat that the body is not made for, creating people to be at higher risk for an early death.

 @BCT2TPM from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

Having lab grown meat means there chemicals that human shouldn't be consuming while regular meat has the nutrient that we need for humans.

 @BCTLHQZ from Michigan  agreed…2mos2MO

I just don't agree with most procession of meat. I think if you are vegetarian and want a burger, you can eat a black bean burger made from whole foods, although it's processed, at least it's not lab grown.

 @BCVKZLF from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

lab-grown meat is currently too expensive for the average consumer and relies on energy-intensive industrial processes that could result in a higher long-term carbon footprint than some traditional farming methods.

 @BCKDYJZ  from Mississippi  disagreed…3mos3MO

It's not that I'm against it, its just that we need more safety ensures and more testing to make sure its COMPLETELY safe for human consumption and health.

 @BCL7BTS  from Arkansas  agreed…3mos3MO

I think it could be good, but we’ve seen how little big corporations care and how far they will go to cut costs in risk of public and worker safety, such as the meet factory’s back during the war, where it was so unregulated half the time it had human fingers. We are being fed so much artificial stuff a few years from now we might not even have real animals or plants to eat, and this is coming from someone who freely buys and eats what they want as long as it tastes good.

 @BCNBPPM from California  agreed…2mos2MO

Eating the real thing will always be healthier when it has been running in a field freely than put together with random chemicals I don't know the names of or how to properly say. Why stuff our faces with chemicals we don't need to survive than just eat meat straight from a free range cow.

 @BCLDGLGNo Labels from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this take if this were to happen and it got approved we would need regulations , but I still don't think its a good idea

 @BCQ5SN4 from Texas  commented…2mos2MO

 @BCKT4TB from California  agreed…3mos3MO

Lab grown meat can have many different factors that can make a person sick some more testing and ensuring that everything is safe is needed in order for people to feel safe eating it.

 @BC9HGKXNo Labels  from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

Too many people are fat and lack proper nutrients. All my cousins have rotting teeth cause they use their EBT card money on Pocket Pizzas.

 @BCBHKD5 from California  agreed…3mos3MO

Many people would rather spend their money on something their familiar with or something they can make quickly to satisfy their hunger, I understand that they do not spend their money on the right things which is why you as an individual should be there for them to help them create healthier diets. Helping them how to make basic dishes using ingredients and help them practice better dietary habits with them will help them feel more comfortable about the change and more confident in their ability to change.

 @BCGSNS9 from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

Well, that is their own fault for not trying to eat healthier, but it is also the school's fault for not teaching them about healthy choices. As well as the parents, they are old enough to educate their children about nutrition and eating right.

 @BCC4ZMG from Missouri  agreed…3mos3MO

Not always the case, you personally know people who do this but not all people spend money on just pizza

 @BCD43KS from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

I disagree because it unfairly judges people and doesn't consider real challenges like food access and cost

 @BBVDLFN  from Florida  disagreed…3mos3MO

I don’t think lab-grown meat should be commercialize because it’s not real meat, plus we don’t know what chemicals are being added and it can cause some health issues down the line.

 @BBVJ2CQIndependent from California  agreed…3mos3MO

Lab grown meat strips away the connection you have with you food you eat, and it fully just isn’t nature. as much as you can replicate something, our bodies won’t be used to
it. plus it creates a miriad of different regulations, that manufacturers could, with their own insentives, include certain nutrients or compounds in the lab grown meat that could act as endocrine disrupters, or compounds that change the way you behave, like anti-psychotics, or anti-depressants. it’s just scary

 @BC96GBF  from Georgia  disagreed…3mos3MO

Genetically grown meat has not been researched enough yet to prove it is a good substitute for the human body.

 @BCBHKD5 from California  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes, further research should be conducted to reveal the effects of Lab Grown Meats and regulation of this product should be considered.

 @BCCJCNZ from Arizona  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this because in America, one of the only places that eat lab grown meat, we see very high obesity rates

 @BCCF6NZNo Labels from Missouri  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes, I agree, I don't know why were tyring to make meat when we've done fine off of what we've lived with for decades.

 @BCCRWWV from Pennsylvania  agreed…3mos3MO

I do not believe that meat should be grown in the lab. People should only be getting meat the natural way.
