If God created life and it shall not be destroyed, why is it that guns are okay or even the death penalty in extreme cases? All life is deemed equally valued, so why is it that when a mother isn’t ready or didn’t have a choice has to pay the consequences of childbirth?

The choice of a woman deciding to have an abortion does not make her wrong in the eyes of God. That mother will not view her child lovingly but with eyes of regret and shame, for her dreams and the path God set for her are put at a halt. She should not be wrongfully blamed for not wanting a child at the moment; she is merely waiting until she is happy and comfortable enough to have a baby.

I think it should be up to the woman. Not everyone believes in god and although people make mistakes, they shouldn't have to live with the pressure of caring for another human that they didn't want in the first place.

Separation of Church and State, some may believe children are gods gift but that has nothing to do with those who do not believe in your God.

I know you may think God is a real thing, but some people don't, and not all people get pregnant from mistakes, some people didn't have a choice, so abortion isn't just because some people want to, Abortion can also be for people who don't want to have to live and or raise a kid who they didn't want, or got forced to have.

I believe bodily atonomy takes precedent above all. Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy and consent to pregnancy can be withdrawn at any time. Pregnancy is not a zero risk endeavor. Forcing a pregnant person to remain pregnant is forcing risk onto that person. Additionally, forcing that risk into a person does not reduce harm or risk to the larger public. Lastly, allowing legal abortions does not force people to have them. If you, as an individual, do not believe an abortion is moral, then don't have one. In large part, abortions are not used as a form of birth control but are used as healthcare and should be available as such.

Babies that are unborn yet are not aware of their existence and it is not hurting someone. It can also benefit rape victims.

abortion shouldnt be something that is forced and that is a choice, its a persons body and the body matters more then somethings just starting to grow

Women should have the choice and the right to do whatever they want, especially if they got pregnant in an unfortunate circumstance

 @BBTWDPQDemocrat from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

It's not always about whether you want a baby or not its about if you can take care of it or healthily carry the baby to term.

 @BBMHYNF from North Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

My body my choice. Unless better programs are put in place to support unwanted pregnancies as well as provide support to the unwanted children.

A fetus is not alive until a certain point; up until then it is just cells. We should value mother's lives over cells that aren't alive or aware.

 @BBMNCPX from Ohio  disagreed…4mos4MO

Sometimes when God creates life, it wasn't always a mistake because women can't help it when they have been raped.

 @BBMZ987 from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

There are already so many mistakes that people make in life and not every mistake you make should have too backfire on you, people make mistakes and getting pregnant is a big one and having a kid at a young age or when ur not ready is very hard for people to follow through with given that having a kid comes with money, dedication, and very hard work and some people just aren't built for that. Most babys that arent even born yet don't even know that they died most likely.

 @BBMJ2ZW from Virginia  disagreed…4mos4MO

God may have created life; however, most abortions are performed before the baby has really any development. There is no brain, consciousness, and developed body so it's not the same as taking life away.

 @BBMN4BNIndependent from Nebraska  disagreed…4mos4MO

If it was not consentual it should be up to the mother or grandmother of the child to decide on abortion or not.

I agree with this comment about Abortion. Life starts at conception. If you can lie down to make it, you can stand up to raise it.

 @BBMRKVDIndependent from Texas  agreed…4mos4MO

I absolutely agree. Life is created at conception, weather it is a fetus or a 50-year-old human being, terminating each of them is murder in the eyes of God. Abortion is not health care or an escape from pregnancy. It is murder.

 @BBMD2N4 from Idaho  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this comment about Abortion. Some women, especially those that do not follow God or have good morals, are sleeping around, and should have to deal with the consequences of their actions. They should have been expecting that getting pregnant was a possibility.
