Banning abortion would only make dangerous and illegal procedures more and more frequent, leading to increased infant and mother fatality. Social programs and education awareness programs are necessary to make sure individuals are informed and encouraged to make the right decisions. Bodily autonomy is a human right, and medical abortions are healthcare. If we aren't restricting access to other life-saving procedures, there is no sense to do so for abortion. If one is inclined against the matter, they may protest, lobby, spread awareness, etc. But this is no matter for nationwide bans that often result in the criminalization of mothers and jail time that extends much longer than individuals convicted of sexual/abuse offenses.

The unborn are not alive, hence do not have human rights. And even if they did have some rights, the rights of the living mother must outweigh the rights of the unborn.

There are people who make mistakes that their not ready for, For instance young teenagers get pregnant and will not be able to take care of no baby while still going to school or them having to face discrimination because their pregnant. There are also people who get sexual assaulted and i don't think they would wanna keep the baby.

It is not alive or conscious to make those decisions. Taking a human life is unconstitutional, so what about the mother? The woman who is alive and carrying the child? Is it not unconstitutional to completely disregard her life and rights?

Many people do not realize that we care more about abortion then the 90% of people who cause it, teens who are raped and get pregnant are not allowed to get an abortion even if it hurts them to have the baby

 @BBWKTKK from New York  disagreed…3mos3MO

Most abortions procedures occur before the second or third trimester of a pregnancy so the "baby" is really just a embryo and there is no consciousness so there isn't so much of an execution happen its really just deleting a clump of cells. And most adoptions center don't even treat the children good and are sometimes overcrowded so the care isn't enough for the kid.

The unborn cannot think, and does not produce any thought. It doesn't have any capacity to be a human and think like one. Abortion is also important for the mother, Encase a pregnancy is life endangering to the mother. Abortion should not be allowed when it has its first heartbeat, but anything before should be allowed. Though, it should be left to the states rather than the federal government to fund abortion, and punishments for rape and incest should be increased.

I would say that the government has no right to take away women´s rights. There should be requirements, and after a certain amount of months it should be not allowed. Women deserve their rights

should not control ones right to their own body. we are not incubators for someone else. if someone wants a kid they will have it and if someone doesn't there is no point in forcing them to carry one to term and putting them in either foster care or raising them unwanted and unloved. my body my choice.

 @BBWHHDK from Michigan  disagreed…3mos3MO

it inherently isnt, the constitution doesnt create rules for you or i, its designed to create rules for the federal and state level governments

 @BC39Q3X from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

a human is not a human until the organism can survive freely outside the walls of the hosts system. Therefore, the fetus is no more than a collection of cells that cannot operate without the “mother”.

 @BBX8SBS  from Georgia  agreed…3mos3MO

All life is important whether you want the child or not, he or she is a blessing and has a purpose and shouldn't have their opportunities taken from someone else.

 @BBWWS6Z from Washington  agreed…3mos3MO

i agree with this. the unborn has done nothing wrong, and part of human rights is the right to LIFE.

 @BBWJBH8No Labels from Michigan  agreed…3mos3MO

I understand the argument about protecting life and supporting mothers. However, abortion is a complicated issue because it also involves the health, rights, and choices of the pregnant person, which is why people still debate it today.

 @BBWV87T from Wisconsin  disagreed…3mos3MO

The argument for an unborn fetus is that they have the right to due process but most abortions happen before the fetus even developed a heart beat making it a clump of cells their fore there is no life at risk and when saying young mothers or fathers or just parents don't want kids you have to take into count their stability and suitability whilst you think they should have a baby and raise it they may not have anywhere to raise it these ideals of women shouldn't get abortions because the fetus is innocent is moral wrong this could end up babies and children growing up in poor and inexcusable situations that the government later wont care about as well as an overflowing foster care system. So in my point of view women should be able to have an abortion based on their stability and suitability of becoming a mother.

 @BBVZYVD  from New York  disagreed…3mos3MO

It is scientifically proven that a fetus under about 24 weeks does not have the capacity to feel pain or to be sentient therefore they are not alive.
