The flat tax is foolish and will cut income while punishing the poor and benefiting the rich. We MUST have a progressive tax and tax people according to their income.

I believe that we should all get taxed the same percentage. There should be no tax breaks for the wealthy!

Absolutely, the economic disparity plaguing America is the root cause of many of our issues. By taxing those with unreasonable wealth, we can help pay for infrastructure for those in need.

Well yes we shouldn’t tax everyone the same, it should be progressive, but the current system should have everyone providing more to expand the welfare state to a Nordic level

 @BCBP6WC from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

there really isn't anything unfair about taxing everyone at the same rate. For starters, everyone isn't being taxed "the same," we are taxed at a percentage rate. Basically, wealthier people are already paying more than poor people in taxes. It would be wrong to tax higher earners at a higher rate because it would basically make all they've worked for a waste. Why should someone who has worked harder and who clearly has more valuable or desirable skills be stripped of the money they've earned?

Ye, I agree wholeheartedly: the rich get richer and leave the impoverished with scraps. The rich have so much money and nothing to spend it on; either tax them more or force them to donate large sums to charity.

Billionaires should be taxed more since they have more money. It's unethical to have that much money, and they should be taxed more.

I agree, the richer someone is, the more they should be taxed, and the poorer someone is, the less they should be taxed.
