There are brain waves at just 4 weeks, how can you not say that’s a life? The only “choice” here is the choice to have sex. If you don’t want a kid, don’t have sex, simple. And for rape or insest, that’s less than 1% of abortions. Even then, do two wrongs make a right? Rape is such a serious thing, and I feel so terrible for women who have to go through that, but killing an innocent life because of it isn’t okay.

Yes, sex is a choice but rape isn't and abortion can help with teenangers that are not ready for parenthood or financially can't support having one, also some people are not meant to be parents and abortions can lower the amount of homeless kids or the amount of kids up for adoption, or even the murders of newborns toddlers, and teens.

First, learn how to spell incest. I do not know what "insest" is. Second, why do we not force people to give up their organs if they do not need them to save a life? Because it is a person's constitutional right for someone to decide what to do with their body, and they are allowed to choose their self over others. It is the same with a pregnant woman. It is her right to choose to remove the fetus, even if the procedure 'kills' it because it is her body, her right.
Even if it’s a living human it doesn’t have a right to occupy someone else’s body and use their organs to keep themselves alive. For a thought experiment let’s say you voluntarily signed up for 9 months to allow someone with kidney failure to “plug in” (through the miracles of modern medicine) to your body and use your kidneys to keep themselves alive. Even if you stated you’re willing to let this person use your organs for 9 months you should have the bodily autonomy to disconnect yourself from this person at any point in time. It’s not different from a mother deciding to no longer let the child use her body to grow and survive.

The choice to have sex is a very normal thing especially in adults. Also, sometimes people can be using birth control but that doesn't guarantee no pregnancy. And yes rape is a very serious thing but some people don't get abortions because they are forced by those rapists and abusers to keep the child. Sometimes for perverted reasons. This goes much deeper than the surface of what is believed here to have been happening. Also that "innocent life" could end up being harmed by the assaulter/ rapist, or mother herself because of the emotional trauma. Going through something… Read more

We should focus more on funding social work programs, adoption agencies, and the foster care system instead of trying to stop people from getting abortions. In addition, what about the women, teens, and literal children who become pregnant due to abuse. What about the babies that have a low chance at surviving, and the pregnancy would put the mother at risk. This isn't just for people who were being careless, abortion protects people in awful circumstances.

The presented statement makes an assertion, takes it as fact, and provides no supporting arguments for why it should be so. Brain waves at 4 weeks seems to be a concession that life does not begin at conception, but rather at 4 weeks, if the claim is implicitly relying on brain waves as a standard for something being a life. Regardless, the point of when life begins is irrelevant. The issue at hand is bodily autonomy, and the government has no authority to dictate what a person does with their body. This is established through the implied right to privacy in the U.S. constitution and as uphel… Read more

The unborn, unconscious child's life is not more important than the mother's and her choice. There is no way to one hundred percent prevent the conception of a child when you have sex, accidents do happen, birth control doesn't always work completely, pregnancy is painful, even fatal to the mother in some situations, and people make mistakes. It is inhumane to force a woman to give birth to a child she cannot mentally, physically, or financially take care of regardless of how she became pregnant.
