Should the federal government pay for tuition at four-year colleges and universities?
No, but provide more scholarship opportunities for low-income students
I believe that a college education allows everyone to earn a higher salary, which they can then use to participate in and contribute more effectively to their community and sustain a long-term healthy lifestyle. In order to allow the opportunity for everyone to succeed fairly, free college scholarships need to be offered to everyone. Whether they are low-income or not. It is not only the working class that should be offered help with education, but also any student who applies for and meets the qualifications for such scholarships based on merit and not discrimination of their household income.

if everyone has a college degree, it defeats the purpose of higher-paying jobs for those who have a degree. at the moment not everyone who has a degree can get the same job as someone who does. it takes away oppertunies to those who want to work hard for college compared to someone who got it for free.
