Freedom of speech means people can protest, but it also means respecting everyone’s right to enjoy their special day. Maybe there’s a better way to challenge government overreach without hijacking personal milestones.
Commencement should be a celebration of achievement, not a stage for political protest. There’s a time and place for these debates, and disrupting graduation isn’t fair to the other students or their families.
