Today, the Amahoro Coalition announced 41 entrepreneurs selected for the fourth cohort of its fellowship dedicated to refugee leaders across Africa.
Notably, women make up 63% of this group, signaling a major shift toward female-led economic solutions in displacement settings. These fellows are adopting a "business-first" approach to solve local crises, such as converting banana waste into reusable products in Uganda. Other projects focus on climate tech, including Nigeria-based initiatives that rebuild electronic waste into clean energy devices.
Over the next year, these leaders will gain access to investment networks and mentorship to scale their social and environmental impact.
