Abortion is a medical procedure resulting in the termination of a human pregnancy and death of a fetus. Abortion was banned in 30 states until the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade. The ruling made abortion legal in all 50 states but gave them regulatory powers over when abortions could be performed during a pregnancy. On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade in the case Dobbs v. Jackson. The court ruled that the substantive right to abortion was not “deeply rooted in this Nation’s history or tradition”, nor considered a right when the Due Process Clause was ratified in 1868.

Pro Life and Pro Choice, I do not see a conflict with these two, as most societies that have legal and available access to abortion and birth control have statistically fewer abortions overall.
@4RS7MK85yrs5Y
If have been in a committed relationship for a significant amount of time and you have finished college, you shouldn't be able to get an abortion.
Pro-choice, but ban after the first trimester of pregnancy unless there is danger to the health of the mother or fetus
@9D5Z2LRIndependent2yrs2Y
It should be legal up until the baby could survive outside the womb
@9FWTQ62 9mos9MO
Let’s leave science and medicine to scientists and doctors. Not geriatric dementia patients riding on a government check with free, unlimited healthcare, and no financial or personal consequence for their decisions or actions.
@9XC58KV11mos11MO
I personally wouldn't get an abortion, but I do believe in people making the best decision for them and their body and no body should be forced to give birth.
@9WYMP9QPeace and Freedom11mos11MO
I’m pro-life but I will allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child however I feel as if there needs to be more access to social services, adoption services, and sex eduction in schools.
@9WVRVTG11mos11MO
A woman's bodily autonomy cannot be sacrificed in the name of her child. The child, though technically alive, has never lived as you and I have. The mother has. Her ambitions and livelihood come first. She is the only one with the final say.
Especially in a world where so many pro-life Americans tirelessly advocate against welfare programs that would benefit the child, I find it silly to consider the other side "pro-life". A truly pro-life individual would advocate to improve the life lived by the mother and put her in a situation where an abortion never has to occur. Should it need to occur or the mother wishes it to occur, that decision must be hers to make. Though I believe the child is alive, it does not live as we do. It has no ambitions. It has never felt a breeze or seen the sun. Especially in situations where… Read more
@9WTL87D11mos11MO
I believe they are wrong, but it is not my right to tell a women that they can or cannot get a abortion
Pro-choice, and allow it unrestricted completely. Also provide free birth control, sex education, and contraceptives.
@9PTVYZ4 11mos11MO
Pro-choice
If you can't force someone to donate organs to save someone's life, then you can't force someone to use their body to create another life.
Safe, legal, and rare. True anti-abortion action needs to deal with the social conditions that make abortion prevalent
I think if you get yourself into the situation you should have the child, but if it were forced upon you, or medically having the child would kill you or the baby, it is ok to have an abortion
@9SZBNXK1yr1Y
Abortion should only be used in a last case scenario, and it should be left up to the mother of the child in cases of rape/incest.
Pro-Choice, but it’s hard to weigh in on a decision that I can’t imagine being in the position to make.
Pro life. keep in mind there are people in the world who would be grateful to take care of the baby. It's called adoption.
@9RD9G6Z1yr1Y
Abortion beyond 20 weeks should be illegal in all circumstances. Sex education should be taught more aggressively and teach birth control, not abstinence.
@9QRVF6S1yr1Y
Pro-choice. Increase birth control, sex education, and social services will reduce the number of abortions. However, having more abortions is not necessarily a negative thing in and of itself.
@9N6Y5LM1yr1Y
To be honest it is none of my business I'm am not able to carry a baby but I know that I'm pro-choice though because it could help out a lot of teenagers from becoming parents.
@9MZXFTW1yr1Y
Pro-Life but case by case decision should be made by ethics committee with reasonable representation from all involved parties
@9ML264K 1yr1Y
I am Pro-Life, but who am I to impose my beliefs on another person when their beliefs are just as valuable as mine.
@9LH6NT91yr1Y
Men should not have a voice. As a man, if I am against abortion, I won't get an abortion. As a man, if I want a child, and if I force someone to have my child, that is no longer conceptual.
@9LDKNN41yr1Y
Pro choice but providing more sex Education and assistance to women forced into motherhood would decrease the overall need for abortion as a whole.
@9L2XJ7P1yr1Y
Pro life and the rapist or biological father to be responsible for life and wellbeing of new born. If they are not, then they should be punished.
@9KYKHNS 2yrs2Y
Both men and women should have a say in the abortion. No one should be allowed to do the abortion without the other unless of extenuating circumstances.
@9KL66L62yrs2Y
There should be comprehensive research done and facilitated with the mother to determine best outcome for her and the child.
@84ZWD6LLibertarian 2yrs2Y
I am pro-choice but the government has no right to ban abortion. It should be left to insurance providers to cover it
@9KC255QLibertarian2yrs2Y
Pro-choice, but ban it after the brain of the child develop, unless birthing the child risks the mother or child's life.
@9K9XS2W2yrs2Y
abortion should be done if there is a medical reason, rape, incest but people understand what sex does and they shouldn't kill the baby for their choices.
Government should not dictate the legalities of individual medical procedures proven to be be safe and effective.
Pro-choice, but ban after the 22nd week of pregnancy unless there is danger to the mother or fetus' health
@9HF5F7T2yrs2Y
Pro choice but more legislation needs to be put in place to make it difficult for someone to get an abortion if there are other options. There should also be many government programs to mitigate and minimize the amount of abortions there are.
@9H6383Y2yrs2Y
I am on both sides because I believe it depends on the situation whether to claim being pro-life or pro-choice.
@9H47KPP2yrs2Y
A woman should have absolute autonomy over her own body, regardless of when in her pregnancy she decides to terminate it.
@9H234NQ2yrs2Y
we shouldn’t tell people how they should live their life. i live in my own world and things other people do don’t bother me and it shouldn’t bother anyone else if it’s not you or a family member.
@9GW48FV2yrs2Y
I'm in between pro life and. pro choice, while I think abortions are wrong, its also your choice and your body.
@9GJTKNL2yrs2Y
Pro-choice, but ban after the first 20 weeks with exceptions for danger to the mother's life or well being
@9GHM4QT2yrs2Y
The government shouldn't of had the right to ban it, even though I support life itself, I believe rape and incest victims should be allowed to have abortions. Most of the power in the statement usually comes from religions practices and believes.
@9FYX3RD2yrs2Y
I am pro-life and pro-choice. I wouldn't want anyone killing their baby just because it wasn't planned I would bless someone with that little who has fertile issues and miscarried before. I would also have a woman or young girl terminate the baby if someone has raped and molested her.
@9FS9C4H2yrs2Y
Pro-life but think that if the resources are available, women should be able to make their own choices.
@9FKRCT82yrs2Y
I am neither Pro-life or Pro-choice. I believe every living organism has the right to life. Only certain circumstances, like victims of rape, incest, danger to both mother and child and those who aren't mentally, physically or financially ready to give birth.
@9FFV9W72yrs2Y
Pro-life, but others decision is not my business
@9FBNP4L2yrs2Y
It doesnt matter only base on the women who going through the stuff
@9F9GMWW2yrs2Y
Only allow abortion if its gay
@9DMFVDS2yrs2Y
Pro-life, except in the case of rape, incest, or danger BUT the government should have no right to ban abortions or decide what people do with their own bodies, it should be up to the person who is carrying the child
@9DK6MNSProgressive2yrs2Y
Pro-life, and providing birth control, increasing viability of adoption services, providing sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions
@9DK4T8B2yrs2Y
If the women was raped then they have the right to have abortions.
@9DHQ6PH2yrs2Y
Pro Choice but personally wouldn't get an abortion.
@9DH2S3MIndependent2yrs2Y
Pro life for me but what others do is their choice.
It is a women's issue and should only be determined by women or those with the capability of giving birth EXCLUSIVELY.
It is exclusively the vote of women, not of men or those who cannot physically give birth
@9DD5SNR2yrs2Y
NO i dont agree at all. Abortion is not right.
@8KY7ZV45yrs5Y
Pro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions and Pro-life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child
Pro-choice, but ban after the first 3 months unless life threatening/other circumstances arise, AND provide birth control, sex education and more social services to help reduce the number
@8D33FJV5yrs5Y
Pro-choice, but not after the first three months unless the mother or child is in danger, or it is a case of rape or incest.
Pro-choice, but ban after the first three months or if there is danger to the health of the mother or fetus
@9YGVR6P11mos11MO
Pro-Choice, banning abortion won’t stop abortion it just stops safe abortion thus causing more issues
@9XNV2XJ11mos11MO
Pro-life, but can't make abortion illegal, it'll lead to endangering lives. Most social programs and education surrounding sex.
@9XK5V2P11mos11MO
Pro life, but oppose criminalization of abortion. We should work to reduce the number of abortions being performed with access to birth control and sex education and financial reform
@9X9JJT211mos11MO
Pro-life, but ensure access for truly life saving care and protect mothers rights to make medical choices when babies are incompatible with life
Pro Choice
I don't think it's right for the Government to enact laws on Abortions. Because there are times where women can't give birth, or they don't like the guy whom got them pregnant. Women should be allowed to control their pregnancy, without government interference.
@9R9WCX71yr1Y
I agree on both choices, I think we need to provide birth control, sex education and more social services to help but humans will do what they choose to do regardless of every outlet given for educating themselves. I also believe in situations like rape, incest or abuse or even medical complications that could result in the mother dying it should be a women’s right to abort and that shouldn’t be taken away
@9FCHTVC2yrs2Y
We must begin to teach our children that the best sex is no sex.
@9F3CY4C2yrs2Y
Pro-Choice, providing adequate sex education, birth control, and social services helps but does not assist rape victims in getting the help they need.
@9FQB69L2yrs2Y
i believe that women should have the right to choose
@9CMKGKS2yrs2Y
Abortion is good before a heartbeat
@VulcanMan6 2yrs2Y
What is it about a heartbeat that changes that..?
Pro-life, if only one life csn be saved then the mother should decide what happens.
@9BSGZMR2yrs2Y
Women should be able to choose. I don't necessarily agree with abortion but in case of rape, I would agree.
@9BMM2L52yrs2Y
Pro choice but ban after the first 3 months and provide more birth control, sex ed, and more social services to reduce the need of abortions.
@9B93NK32yrs2Y
Pro life but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother, and I also believe providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions and to ban after the first 3 months
@99Y4PJG2yrs2Y
Pro-choice, and I will kill you if you don't agree
Pro-Choice, though abortion should be a last resort once all other options have been exhausted
@GuitarLord25Socialist3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions. It is also essential the we codify Roe v Wade to protect bodily liberty and autonomy.
@96WBY2R3yrs3Y
Pro-abortion. The decision should be between a pregnant person and their doctor and everyone else should get out of the process
Pro choice if a person Is raped or something worse but pro life if a person just decided to be careless...i.e. just doesn't like using birth control or other protection
I’m just here so I wont get fined
@96JGXS73yrs3Y
If you feel the need to do so then by all means do it! If you are being forced to do so and you the person in question is under age and lives with relatives and or family and they are advising you to do so then do it if you agree with them as such.
@96HGMRN3yrs3Y
They can’t band abortions on certain levels as in getting rapped, carrying a dead fetus, and etc
@96B2F3B3yrs3Y
abortion should not exist!
@9694YRXRepublican3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, however the father and mother should both have the right to choose. If a woman can abort a child because she’s not ready, a man should be able to avoid having to pay child support if he’s not ready
@968T6MW3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, but ban after 10 weeks
@968MYW63yrs3Y
It dosnt matter aslong as it the right choice
@965L9D73yrs3Y
its a person's choice for if they want to have a kid or not they shouldn´t just be limited to if they get pregnant.
@95XJGBM3yrs3Y
@95X7Q2X3yrs3Y
as long as the mother was an unplanned pregnancy they should be allowed to have an abortion
@95THB3X3yrs3Y
Safe and legal but rare, abortions.
@95TBXDZ3yrs3Y
I don't agree with abortion but I believe that is between God the woman and her doctor
Pro abortion, too many children, limit 1 per family if they can prove they are able to care fir the child. CPS and social workers are over worked and burnt out. It's not fair to allow a child into an abusive or heavily lacking home, especially if the systems built to handle that are putting them into similar situations or forced to prioritize other cases
Pro choice but there should be a limit.
@95CBV363yrs3Y
Depends on the situation like if the mothers Heath is at risk, rape/assault and etc
@9588C8G3yrs3Y
Pro-choice because otherwise people will seek for alternatives for abortions, which increase the chances of the mother and child dying.
@95844BVIndependent3yrs3Y
Pro-Consequence, allow it in cases of rape, incest, danger to mother or child, child birth, etc, However financial reasons and “I’m not ready” is never an excuse. Abortions must be done before 140 days.
@94VCC9CLibertarian3yrs3Y
Just give more financial support to pregnant people
@94SPCTZ3yrs3Y
If your beliefs don’t allow it, then don’t do it. If they do, then do what you need to do.
@94Q8CJJRepublican3yrs3Y
Pro-life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child, but also Pro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions
@94KYSY73yrs3Y
I'm pro-life as in if anyone was to ask me if they should get abortion or not then I would say not too, but I think you should have the choice to do whatever you want with your body.
@94KT59V3yrs3Y
pro-choice, but if the lady can kill it, i can financially abandon it.
I'm pro-abortion. We should abort as many babies as possible, Abortion should be available until the child is 18 years old.
