Engaged Abortion

I am generally pro-life as an ethical position, including with regard to cases of rape and incest. I think that abortion should be avoided whenever possible and feel that providing easy access birth control, quality sex education, and more efficient and reliable social services are perhaps the best tools we have for helping that come to fruition. I am, like many other pro-life groups, not in favor of criminalizing abortion, either its provision or its request from patients.

Leave this issue to the states. I believe that the women should receive moral support and help and less funding for abortion

Pro-life. I oppose abortion for victims of rape and incest from an ethical standpoint, but providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions and I do not support a 6-week ban or anything that is enforced by individuals a la the Texas Heartbeat bill. I feel we owe it to doctors and patients to write clear laws that explicitly outline the types of cases in which abortion is OK and reassure doctors that they won't get sued over making tough decisions.

There is no Christian justification for putting women and doctors who request or perform abortions in prison.

Both, ban after the first 4 months but allow longer in cases of rape, incest, mental deficiency of one or both parents, abusive parent or parents, or danger to the mother or child

Pro-life, and I also oppose abortion for victims of rape and incest. This is an ethical stance, not a legal stance. I believe that providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions. There are cases (such as endangerment of the mother's life) in which I would be ok with it. I think work should be done to make the definition of abortion more clear in the public square and I am far more concerned with the ethics of such a choice than its legality.

Pro choice, I dont like it, but we need to focus on eliminating the conditions that drive women to get abortion, like reducing poverty and increasing educational oppurtunities

 @8PVR6HG from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

Pro-choice, both liberals and conservatives should agree to limited government. It would be hypocrisy to say you are for limited government and yet you are telling women what they should do with their bodies. The decision is for the woman and the doctor to make.

I believe that the women should receive moral support and help and abortions where no significant problems are identified, and women feel better after the therapy and support, should be unallowed

Pro-choice, would never do it myself. The government has no right to ban a choice a woman can make to her body. We should be providing AFFORDABLE birth control, sex education, social services to reduce the number of abortions.

Pro-Life, I am opposed to any type of abortion, but I also don't want to oppose anyone's right to choose, regardless of my opinion.

Pro-life but allow in case of incest, rape, or danger to mother/child. Also provide less incentive to receive an abortion.

I am part of the minority of leftists & atheists who are pro-life. I believe that abortion should only be allowed in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child. But I believe there also should be less incentive to receive an abortion. Make the adoption process easier, give sex ed to educate students on safe sex, and provide birth control at no cost to the user.

Pro-Life with an exception for Rape and if the mother's life is in serious danger
