Oh wow, we’ve got ourselves a constitutional scholar and a moral philosopher all in one! Truly, what an honor to witness such an eloquent and well-reasoned argument, delivered with all the grace of a drunk guy yelling outside a gas station at 3 AM.

Let’s unpack this masterpiece of logic:

“Freedom of religion, huh?”

Yes, let’s talk about that! See, actual freedom of religion means everyone gets to live according to their own beliefs, not just yours. The Founders didn’t establish a Bible fan club, they created a secular government where religious freedom applies…  Read more

I wouldnt have a problem with the LGBTQ if they would not march and force their illness on others trying to rub it in our faces, and getting schools to enforce teaching this illness to young kids, thats a brainwashing tactic, its not enough for these people to get married now they march being vulgar and discusting in public and think its funny, then go protest with terrorist simpathizers chanting down with america, they would be stoned by these same people if not in America, these marriages should be resended and all these ill people should be locked up, just like rapists when wires are crossed so bad it cant be fixed you get rid of it. How do you like my grammar...

 @12porgs from Georgia  commented…6mos6MO

Firstly, this is all one sentence, the grammar is horrible. Secondly, there is something called the first amendment, in which people are allowed to protest, and speak freely. To talk about protesting some more, there wouldn't be a need if idiots just shut up (and violence against them stopped) with their stupid arguments and just let them have the right to same-sex marriage, among other LGBTQIA+ rights.

You can call it a disease or illness, but it isn't. People must at least be told in school about the LGBTQIA+ community so that it is accepted, so that violence will subside. If people are not taught, they will never understand, and thus there will just be more ignorance in the world.

You are a homophobic neo-Nazi. Gay people aren't trying to brainwash people! It's not an illness! Studies have literally shown that people can't "learn" to be gay. And so what if they can? Just mind your own **** ing beeswax, you *** Or go burn in hell. I don't care.

Jesus said

To bring Jesus into politics (something our founding fathers didn't want) is hypocrisy. Muslims don't bring Allah into the conversation, so why is it okay when conservatives bring God into the argument? It's just not fair. To come to a fair solution we can't let belief crowd our better judgment.

Muslims don't bring Allah into the conversation

Right, so all the Muslim governments in the Middle East aren't bringing Allah into their politics. Now tell me 3 nations where only Christianity is legal.

  @B636G7G  from Louisiana  commented…12mos12MO

It's Muslim money supporting atheist activists who have made Christmas now known as the holiday season, and they tried to remove in god we trust from our money. And they want under god removed from the Pledge of Allegiance. Family, community, and religion are being lost at an alarming rate. Morals aren't taught, while LGBTQ marches are forcing their illness on the community and now mandating the teaching of LGBT history, this is what we get for giving them the right to marry and letting Muslim oil money fund all this destruction of our way of life. If Muslims don't like god bei…  Read more

Werent jesus teachings to love and understand all, and if jesus is the wonderful creator and never made any mistakes then why is LGBTQI+ an issue

First of all, did you ever stop to think that not everybody is religious? Stop bringing religion into politics as it’s unnecessary. But the real question is how does gay marriage affect YOU? Since you want to bring religion into this topic, then you should know that the bible says to not judge other people (Luke 6:37). What is so wrong with people just wanting to live their own lives? If you truly believe that homosexuality is wrong then thats fine, thats your belief, but when you use it against other people thats when it becomes an issue. Focus on yourself instead of worrying about things that dont harm you!

Engaged Gay Marriage

You're misrepresenting the Bible. Jesus never claimed "1 man, 1 woman". The verses are part of a larger passage (Matthew 19:3-9) where Jesus is responding to the Pharisees' question about divorce. He references Genesis 1:27 and 2:24 to explain that marriage was intended to be a lifelong union. However, this passage does not explicitly say that Jesus was defining marriage as exclusively one man and one woman, nor does it address all possible marriage structures directly.

Even the next verse:

"For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his…  Read more

No one is forcing you to be queer. You're welcome to believe what you believe and exist how you exist.

However, freedom of religion grants me freedom FROM your religion being imposed on me. I don't believe in Jesus or your God. Your beliefs have no bearing on my life or who I am.

Freedom of religion means YOU should not impose YOUR religion onto laws that dictate this nation.

Engaged Gay Marriage

Freedom of religon is the idea that no one religon is above another, and people are free to practice what ever religion they belive. It say's nothing about a state being able to impose and idea of "sexual moral" upon people, because a RELIGON supports that idea. to subject people based on a religous belief is inherently unconstitutional. Also why are you trying to predetermine that your idea of an inherently subjective moral is the correct one? If you shame people based on that of their sexual prefrance then this can lead to mental issues and possibly suicide, you are literally advocating for a society where people that do not agree with your subjective morals should be subject to premature death.

Informed Gay Marriage

For your first point, the founders didn’t support racial equality or gender equality either, second off, the fact that your religions holy book condemns same sex marriages should not influence the government, I don’t think we should be violating the establishment clause that says the government should not promote any religion.

 @B5KGF4H from Texas  commented…1yr1Y

Please don't bring religion into this. It just causes unwarranted and unnecessary arguments.

#2 Engaged Religion

The only argument conservatives have against the legalization of gay marriage is religion based. We live in a secular society. Separation of church and state. Deal with it.

 @BC74GCT from New York  commented…3mos3MO

#2 Engaged Religion

Founding Fathers believed in separation of church and state. Conservatives only argument against gay marriage is religion based, and that is, without question, unconstitutional.
