My top reason why I would NOT vote for John Cornyn in the 2026 Texas US Senate election because of his perspective on immigration and his support for the donald trump administration.

John Cornyn has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in lobby money, i highly doubt he will put the needs of Americans at the forefront.

I would not vote for him because he is on the same boat as our US President.

 @BDS4WPTWorking Family  from Texas  answered…4wks4W

He basically always votes for whatever Trump wants. He is just a less corrupt version of Paxton, not a real moderate. He is a pawn of the rich with no spine and no real beliefs. If he wins, he would let corporations screw over the average American and destroy the Texas environment.

 @BDQVN79 from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

John Cornyn has been bought and paid for by private interests and has a proven track record of accepting "donations" from companies to allow them to get away with anti-consumer practices.

I prefer candidates with stronger conservative positions on border security, spending, and federal government policies.

He often flips flops, and I cannot fully grasp his policies he holds.

John Cornyn received more money from nations hostile to Christian ideals.

 @BDNFVG5 from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

Because he mocked the border wall and walked away from President Trump he's not a true conservative

He doesn't stand up to his best judgement and goes by partisan lines.

 @BDMD8P3 from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

He doesn't think that gay couples should have the same adoption rights as straight couples.

 @BDMB5DW  from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

He goes against everything I believe in. He has no morals and is only going for personal gain.

 @BDM623X from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

A mixture of his LGBTQ policy directly harming my livelihood as a trans woman and his support for further privatization of Texas’ public sector

 @BDM23CG from Minnesota  answered…1mo1MO

I personally believe Cornyn will not win the primary against Paxton. If he did, I nevertheless agree with most of Talarico's policies and positions over Cornyn.

he has been in office too long and represents the political establishment more than new ideas or change. Also disagree with specific positions he has taken on issues like gun laws, immigration, government spending, or bipartisan compromises depending on their political views.

 @BDGXMNH from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

John Cornyn is long term serving senator and isn't doing much changes for the state.

 @BD9FF6H from Texas  answered…2mos2MO

He sold us out to corporate enterprises and data centers. 24 years incumbent and poor results.

Because the public have their opinions on why they dislike him and so do I

I would not vote for John Cornyn because I believe his policies do not align with my views on issues such as healthcare, environmental protection, and social equality. I prefer a candidate who supports more progressive reforms and prioritizes the needs of a broader range of people.

  @Sno-GT  from Texas  answered…3mos3MO

He’s been seen as out of touch with the base he’s supposed to represent and has flipped positions for political survival.

 @BC52RZS from Texas  answered…3mos3MO

There should start to be a term limit for senators. Many have been in office for so long that they are unable to support the total population of the state given they have been in the political arena for so long.

 @BBB5Y2P from Texas  answered…4mos4MO

Trump and his ilk are a cancer on America. They represent elitism and neo-segregation that flies in the face of what it means to be american
