It should be taught in the context of history and natural evolution and a byproduct of Natural Ethnic Feature Favoritism. It is natural for humans to favor their own ethnicity and culture, especially when in the content of the majority or ruling sect of a society. The phenomenon can be found all over the world and in every country. Europeans creating our modern notions of science tried to apply science to NEFF to explain how the world operated and were as result misguided by their lack of knowing.

This comment misunderstands critical race theory. First the academic theory that race is a social construct, upon which power structures are built, and that these structures must be dismantled through criticism along racial lines, raises questions about the veracity of its assumptions and the ethics of what this 'dismantling' looks like. Secondly, what people often object to on the grounds that it is 'critical race theory' is actually just just racial hatred and inequity directed primarily whites, but also other racial minorities, with 'blackness' as the new standard.

I entirely agree, I work with kids, and how the other children look does not affect them, nor do they think about it until it is prompted, and it sets children up to look at others differently than they would .

 @B79DPLT from Illinois  agreed…9mos9MO

Yes because the less we talk about race the more that people with see each other as people instead of racial groups.

I agree with the points made in this state about Critical Race Theory in K-12 Education. The entire concept in itself is racist, and saying any one race is born in such a way that they oppose other races is in itself inherently racist.

We’ve seen and were taught in history that non white people (except Asians) are more aggressive than white people, in percentage black and Hispanics commit most crimes. For example South Africa and Rhodesia was hailed like heaven in Africa before blacks took over now white farmers are being prosecuted by blacks because that is their nature by default and kids should know these graphs and know that multiculturalism can’t work. Europe for example too.

No, teaching them racism creates unwanted tension between the races. Try to increase natural diversity without putting another race down (affirmative action puts others down), which naturally decreases racism over generations.

 @B79GLQXDemocrat from Massachusetts  disagreed…9mos9MO

Bro it’s not teaching kids racism it’s teaching facts- skin colors are different but people should not be treated differently because of their physical appearance. There is a giant difference

 @B79GDFC from California  disagreed…9mos9MO

It’s a privilege to learn about racism at an early age rather than experiencing it. The more kids learn about the less likely other kids are to be hurt by it. People ARE different and that’s not a bad thing.

 @B7FJK3K from California  disagreed…9mos9MO

To teach them how unfair life can be, and why it is necessary to stand up for the criticisms that society has brought up and fight for what you beleive is right.

 @B7D86PK from Texas  disagreed…9mos9MO

It's not teaching racism, its teaching the impact that race had on history and the impact it still had today and that is something that needs to be learned

 @B79NJZG from Minnesota  disagreed…9mos9MO

Kids will see racism no matter what it is a large part of our country we will never be able to cut out and its better if they learn about it and understand their feelings about it in a safe environment like school instead of the internet.

 @B79L8ZP from Arizona  disagreed…9mos9MO

Being knowledgable of the THEORY that is Critical Race Theory, suggests that there is a certain lens that people are looked at through and knowing why this kind of outlook of people is discriminatory and negative will prevent them from "looking at people different".

 @B79HTMH  from Ohio  disagreed…9mos9MO

learning the history of things and struggles are the reason we have changed today and are currently changing, learning about history has changed peoples views and gave the ability for people to earn RIGHTS, empathy is a big thing when it comes to making changes like LGBTQ rights, BLM, etc.

 @B79H86TRepublican from Connecticut  disagreed…9mos9MO

Race theory is unnecessary and racist itself. it teaches that society is systemically racist, with white people being oppressors and minorities being the oppressed. All we should teach is inclusion and the fact that racism is wrong.

 @B79H236Peace and Freedom from Texas  disagreed…9mos9MO

teaching race theory doesnt mean we are teaching kids to be racist it educates kids on how evil racism is

 @B79FYW6 from New Jersey  disagreed…9mos9MO

Teach kids about discriminations and the history behind it, teaches them equality and the discriminations that was encountered before the 2000s. shows how times have changed and the how wrong people in the past was do discriminate.

 @B79FCL6 from Colorado  disagreed…9mos9MO

Its teaching your kids the affect of racism and how its not okay because a lot of kids will be racist otherwise that's just how it is so teaching them why its bad is important

 @B79DGBD from Illinois  disagreed…9mos9MO

Throughout the course of history white people have subjected other races to immense suffering and evil. For example, buck breaking, taking slaves from Africa and breeding them, siphoning money and resources from South Asia, and nowadays, neo-colonialism in West Africa.

 @B79GSFG from Texas  disagreed…9mos9MO

It's not about "teaching kids racism", it's to show them how cruel the world is and an example of what POC have to go through everyday and the discrimination they face.

 @B79GRK6 from Illinois  disagreed…9mos9MO

Yes, because kids should know the wrong of being racist to other kids who are a different skin color or look different.

 @B79GP3N from California  disagreed…9mos9MO

Teaching kids about racism will help them understand the difficulties of other races and what they go through and NOT to participate in racism.

 @B79JPB4Republican from Pennsylvania  agreed…9mos9MO

I agree with this comment because e teaching CRT just teaches kids to look at their peers in a bad lights and divides people. As a kid you should be learning about math and science and reading, stuff like that, not teaching our kids liberal ideology and brainwashing and entire generation.
