Race is taught. If you teach children from an early age that some kids have an advantage over other kids or have a disadvantage because of their skin, you’re creating more of a racial divide than what would have been there.

I agree that teaching kids about racism will make them see race. If you just let kids be kids they won’t notice race.

I just think racsim is taught. Don't even put a thought of skin color in the childrens' minds to begin with.

I agree with this comment because the man who led the push to end racism against African Americans also agrees that nobody should be judged for the color of their skin, including white people. Everyone has changed and evolved over time, and people of today cannot be judged for the actions of yesterday.

I completely agree. If you want to stop racism, stop talking about it and blaming people who have never said or done anything racist in their life.

MLK never said that white people are bad, he wanted us to acknowledge the atrocities that were and are committed in the same of white supremacy.

 @B7C3WQN from New Mexico  agreed…9mos9MO

Teaching children that white people are bad and racist is completely wrong. In fact it goes against what it is trying to accomplish. Instead of fighting racism, the critical Race theory actually advocates for it. What t claims is that because you're skin is a certain color, you are inherently racist and bad and there isn't anything you can do about it. That's got to be the most racist thing I've ever heard.

 @B7BPF8D from Wisconsin  agreed…9mos9MO

I agree. I don't think anyone made a big deal about skin color until it is made a big deal. racism exists but not everyone is racist.

 @B7BPFN7 from Florida  disagreed…9mos9MO

We cannot understand how to go forward unless we understand and correct how racial discrimination continues to impact non white Americans.

 @B7FY2WH from South Carolina  disagreed…9mos9MO

This wrong because MLK is not talking about "the white man", he is talking about the people of color.

It not only enlightens minorities about the effects of racism on American History, but it also informs others on the reasons why American society functions in the ways it does.

 @B7C46L2 from Texas  disagreed…9mos9MO

Without proper acknowledgement of the history of white supremacy in our country, we can not truly do something about it.

 @B7BXXNK from Pennsylvania  disagreed…9mos9MO

being aware of racism and systems that still disproportionately affect minorities isnt a bad thing. Understanding how racism has developed our history isnt a bad thing. MLK. King also said that he was disappointed with the "White Moderate" after they failed to discuss the systemic nature of modern racism, and also noted that racial ignorance was an obstacle to progression. All of this was outlined in his letter from Birmingham jail

 @B7BQSZHDemocrat from Oklahoma  disagreed…9mos9MO

Seeing this promt helps me realize that teaching kids " The white man is bad" is a toxic idology. As it can cause a state of stress through-out one's life by thinking that the " white man" will always be after them.

 @B7BPC32Libertarian from Tennessee  agreed…9mos9MO

That’s a fantastic point. I agree with it. How do we become less racist? Stop talking about it. All the left does is talk about race
