If humanity doesn't grant rights, human rights don't exist. The killing of another human being is murder. Babies have committed no crime.

The rights of a pregnant mother should outweigh the rights of an unborn fetus. Human rights are not assigned at fertilization but at actual personhood. Murder is defined as the unlawful killing of a "person." Until US law grants personhood at fertilization, abortion does not meet that definition. Additionally, although the fetus has committed "no crime," the forcing of a pregnant mother to carry out the pregnancy calls into question the legal rights of the pregnant mother and raises moral and ethical questions about autonomy.

that number is based on a study with lacking proper methodology as well as being scientifically inaccurate. until the 3rd trimester it's pretty much a clump of cells, and 3rd trimester abortions are rare and done because it's medically necessary. Humans have a right to safety, happiness, and good quality of life, if having a baby prevents that for them, than that should be resolved. It's cruel to force a victim of rape to carry a baby to term, its cruel to force a child into a life of preventable poverty or a corrupt and often traumatizing foster system, and its cruel to force a women who may have health risks to put her health on line when she doesn't want to.

It's not cruel to give someone a chance at life. There are options and I do agree people should have the choice but murdering a human being because of poverty is idiotic and extremely immoral in my eyes. I just understand not everyone sees it that way. I lived in poverty at times in my life and I no longer live in that. Should I have not been born just because I couldn't be afforded? I am happy to have the chance over being constricted to just non-existence.
