I agree with this

While attempting to micromanage moral choices can seriously backfire, I don’t agree with handing out birth control like candy because “they’re already doing it.” While you can’t legislate morality in the strictest sense, our laws at least partially reflect our values. If we value the lives and well being of the unborn and the born, it is a mistake to enable irresponsible behavior that leads to children being produced who are unwanted and grow up in situations that make their flourishing overly difficult. Moral defeatism is not the answer.
