Global confidence in Trump falls to 23% in new 36-nation survey
A new Pew Research Center survey released Tuesday found that 76% of people globally have no confidence in President Donald Trump’s leadership.
The study, which polled over 42,000 adults across 36 countries, shows a median approval rating of just 23% for the American president. Trust has dropped most sharply among traditional allies in Europe and Canada, who now increasingly view the U.S. as an unreliable partner. Notably, the poll found that in several nations, Trump is trusted less than Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
While favorability rose slightly in Mexico, the overall trend suggests a significant decline in American soft power and international influence.
