If the government uses facial recognition technology they would soon have large databases of the faces of the population
In theory, because they have access to this data that means they can either find you easily or use that data however they please without your consent. You wouldn’t like it if you found out some stranger out in the world had access to your face and could use that without your consent. In the same way, why would you trust a higher institution with your facial recognition data? My argument comes down to this; it is simply a violation of your rights and freedoms.
