History is bound to repeat itself if it is not taught. Many children learn their behaviors from their family and school. When they are not taught about equality and what happens when it is not respected then it is more likely bound to repeat.

there is no reason younger children should be exposed to the cruelty of man, older kids even teens yes they should know. but young innocent kids does not need to learn about the harshness of it

 @B9GB9TM from California  agreed…5mos5MO

Yes I agree, the history book on the shelf is always repeating, the only way to change history is to know what history is

 @B99J22L from Indiana  agreed…6mos6MO

They should teach the kids about racism and how it can be a really big affect and could affect other's lives or they could loose their lives due to being racist to other's because this world isn't safe nor easy like before so much has changed and along with it's people.

 @B99PW9K from Massachusetts  agreed…6mos6MO

Yes, I absolutely agree. Learning about the hatred and racism faced by populations in this country need to be taught in schools to teach young children that discrimination is wrong.

 @B98Z8ZZ from California  agreed…6mos6MO

This is true if we have people in power repeating past events, with our history being taught. Imagine how bad the future will be when its not taught. We will backtrack and lose any progress we have made over the past several decades.

Critical Race Theory allows the upcoming generations of Americans learn about the unfairness, inequality, and harmful policies that was--and still iss--aimed at non-white individuals in the country. America was founded on slavery of native and black individuals.
On top of CRT, we should include other anti-descriminatory educational policies in k-12 education such as LGBTQ+ topics, disability descrimination, religious descrimination and so forth to ensure all Americans are treated fairly.

 @B98NJD3 from Minnesota  agreed…6mos6MO

people should learn about it early so people can learn how to be nice and learn about different things

 @B98M4VH from Maryland  agreed…6mos6MO

Yes because kids need to be taught the history of what the people of our country have been through and any inappropriate behavior can be corrected early

 @B9GLMKPIndependent  from Oklahoma  disagreed…5mos5MO

It's wrong to teach kids to feel bad about their own race and home life's because others struggle. Just like no one should be making kids who have it harder feel bad about their races or homelife's. America is a melting where everyone has a fair shot to make something out their self's.

 @B98VWPGIndependent from Oklahoma  disagreed…5mos5MO

It should be left to the parents to teach more personal values, critical race theory can be left a lot in interpretation depending on how it's reached which is bad for the goal of having a unbiased education system.

Because this theory makes all white skinned Americans are inherently oppressers and are all racist, while people of color are the victims and deserved to be treated specially because of past events that legally and morally wouldn't happen in this day in age. I believe that all people should be treated as one thing, human beings, and divided up between race or color and that we should not further this by teaching CRT to children who are easily manipulated.

 @B994F3W from Idaho  disagreed…6mos6MO

Theres a difference about teaching about slavery and how we are equal, no matter our skin color, and telling kids they are responsible for what their ancestors did.

 @B98V82FRepublican  from Illinois  disagreed…6mos6MO

no, because I believe that while learning about history is important, teaching critical race theory in K-12 education only serves to worsen race relations and leads to public mistrust in the government. Not teaching it leads to more overall benefit for society

 @B98RPRC from Tennessee  disagreed…6mos6MO

My best counter-argument to this position is that it degrades the image of white-Americans. I believe it is important to understand history, therefore mistakes are learned from, but I do not believe that the nation should continue to slaughter the opposing race because as a nation that is what Americans are trying to dissolve is racism and prejudice. If anything, I believe that if it is necessary to be taught, it should be taught during high-school when the brain is more mature to critical situations as such, because hate should not be introduced at a young age. I believe hate could influence…  Read more

I believe that this is absolutely wrong and this theory is racist because it believes that the white race has had the upper hand and since I’m mixed I should rather believe in Area 51 than this

 @B98HTX6  from Maine  disagreed…6mos6MO

The suggestion that failing to indoctrinate children into ethnic hatred, far-left extremism, and a distorted view of history, will somehow lead to the re-legalization of slavery is laughably absurd.

 @B9GBDJHWomen’s Equality from California  agreed…5mos5MO

Yes being taught about the Critical Race Theory in K-12 Education due to the need to not repeat history and create a cycle for future generations.
