Abortion should not be banned, the "baby" is not considered a baby as it is not fully developed and cannot feel anything at the time of abortion,.as for if a woman cannot get an abortion will be non debatable because it is her choice not the man who got her pregnant, he may have side thoughts but may not fully make the decision as he is not carrying the baby and suffering through the pain of giving birth and holding the baby for about 9 months, as abortion should not be talked about if the person talking about it does not have a uterus, and every reason for abortion is valid, such…  Read more

I think there is a wider range of possibility when dealing with pregnancy. No matter the reason, it is the mother’s decision what to do with her body at the end of the day. A child is a commitment for 18 years and the rest of your life. Not everyone can make that sacrifice for a variety of reasons, meaning the smart thing to do is to get an abortion so a child isn’t raised in a home not equipped for a child. It is not the governments place to tell someone what to do with their body, nor is it other people’s place because abortion does not affect another person in the slightest. Banning abortion also opens the door for more government control in all kinds of situations, a bad precedent to set in my opinion.

I believe that abortion is not taking away an innocent person's life because said "person" isn't living, it is still a fetus, and it should be the mother's choice if they carry it to term. Also, there should be a separation of church and state, so the argument that it's "taking away god's creation" doesn't apply to everyone. Along with that, what if the mother isn't financially stable enough to support another life? Also, who gets to choose if a pregnant person is in an abusive relationship or a dangerous situation, and many times the per…  Read more

Abortion being banned by the federal government because the life is "god's creation" is not right because religious values should not be part of the federal government. Furthermore, abortion is conducted before it is an "innocent baby", it is proper health care and women deserve the right.

This country was founded on religious freedom so any law or ban made on the basis of a religious belief is unconstitutional

I believe regardless of the situation abortion should be legal. We shouldn’t be telling women what to do with their bodies. Some women do not want to be mothers and bringing a baby into that would be unfair .

Religion doesn't have a place in political debates in a nation with separation between church and state.

Both the inability to create as well as the lack of previous conscious experiences means it is not—and never was—a human being.
Sperm has the potential to create human beings, yet we grant them no rights.
It's also clear this is what every human being _actually_ considers important to the determination of life (whether they're able to logically deduce it or not), as it's the opposite of the criteria we use to determine if someone is dead (can no longer create conscious experiences, and previously had conscious experiences).
It's shockingly simple once you look at it through the lens of rationality.

Abortion is healthcare. The process to decide when it should not be legal as an invasion of privacy.

On occasion, it is the fault of the product, not the user. In these cases, pregnancy can occur even with some of the highest preventative measures. Therefore, forcing women to go through the process of pregnancy when preventive measures were implemented is unethical. At the same time, more awareness on the subject should be promoted rather than illegalizing all abortion.

I believe abortion should be banned, no matter the case of conception. The Lord deemed that it would occur, and while rape and incest is disgusting and horrifying, the Lord allowed it to occur. That does not make Him a terrible God. He makes beautiful things out of terrible circumstances. Would you ever know who was born out of rape or who wasn't? Why are the babies conceived out of rape or incest deserving of death? If a baby is conceived out of stupidity, it is not okay to abort it. You made your bed, now lay in it. Regardless of being "ready for parenthood," if you created that child, the child has a right to life.

I believe that abortion should be band in all cases Evan if your reaped you could still give the baby up for adoption once its born

 @B9PVT4QIndependent from Utah  agreed…5mos5MO

That is nearly my view of Abortion word for word. Do not take away the baby's life because your stupid face decided to go out and have a one night stand. Just remain a virgin and wait until marriage, do not sleep around if you cannot afford to have a kid. Sex is not a right. Rape is different because the woman did not choose to sleep around she was forced upon so I understand in that case. However that is the minority of the cases, the vast majority are women who sleep around thinking they can avoid getting pregnant and then when they find out they do they panic and go and get an abortion. And it is essentially a get out jail free card, which is not right. The woman who made the decision to sleep around does not get punished, and yet the baby who did nothing wrong gets punished. So yes I completely agree with the statement above.
