It is about the already LIVING, struggling children who are waiting for their way out. It is about the woman who will have even lower rates of a successful future, simply because she is a woman, a woman who had to give birth to something she knew she did not want. It is tiring seeing people—especially MEN— have a say on a topic that they have never been through, or will never go through. If this were to be about a man, there would simply never be a debate as to what’s right or wrong or any law constricting their own bodily rights. Abortion is a basic human healthcare right, and to put any mandate or restriction on it would be infringing on basic human rights.

Pregnancy and birth are not easy or safe. An 11yo who had consensual sex (not possible ant that age) and became pregnant could die as a result of a pregnancy or birth. Abortion is a right and a part of healthcare. Although I am pro life for myself I cannot and will not dictate what the best option is for others who experiences I have not lived. If my mother (adopted) had the option to abort me and my siblings I would not hold it against her. She was never in a place to have a healthy pregnancy and we all suffer due to her substance abuse.

Woman who are raped and have had unconsented sexual intercourse should have the choice to have the baby or not. They didn’t have a choice to not have sexual intercourse.

Abortions can save lives. If one were to give birth to child but physically or mentally cannot support them, then it is worse for the child if it were to be born. Regulations like needing a valid reason to get an abortion would help.

Legal abortions should not be banned to the citizens of the United States, because this medical procedure should be available, and women should have the choice to choose if they want to give birth to a baby or not and that shouldn't be taken away from them by the government. By banning Abortions it increases the risk of doing at home abortions which is extremely dangerous to the woman attempting it. To protect women's health and women's rights, abortion should be an open medical procedure that is available to all women.

It’s not as simple as just “giving it to someone else.” There is an overflow of children in the foster care system whom many do not get a real chance of having a happy family. I don’t think the reasons women get abortions are simply because “they don’t want them.” What if a woman 100% wanted a baby but during her pregnancy for health reasons having this baby would kill her. Would you expect her to still have that baby? If that baby were to grow up without a mother and guilt that their own existence is what killed her?

You say that you're “BIG” on the right for victims to have the option of abortion but also say that even regardless of the situation you still think that it’s right for a woman to still follow through with the birth of their rapists child. That is so incredibly messed up. If a 14 year old girl got raped and was pregnant you would expect her, A CHILD, to still have that baby while knowing damn well the trauma that this would put her through?? In these instances in my opinion it is not about the baby. This baby is non existent. You are saying to prioritize the life this baby COULD have over the one that the mother is currently living through. Abortions are 100% about the mother and it should be her choice to carry through or not. Yes I think it is a very serious decision to make and should be talked about with family or a doctor and more importantly your spouse/partner but at the end of the day this isn’t about a life that is non existent it is about the one that is living and breathing right now.

If a woman knows she isn't capable of taking care of a child she should get to decide her next steps.

All humans deserve basic dignity and should have the right to weigh if they are fit to parent a human life. The decision to not continue a pregnancy is never a light decision. Giving up a baby for adoption is inhumane concept.

The wellbeing of the mother is a much more important issue, being that they are already a living person.

In my opinion, abortion should be acceptable because we don't live in some perfect society where babies are guaranteed a chance. They can sit bounce around foster care unhappy, wondering why nobody wants them. They can be left to irresponsible or abusive parents that don't want them. Until we are able to secure the future of these children, abortion should be acceptable.

I don't think abortion should just be used as birth control and I also don't think it should be used often. However, If a women is pregnant from rape, incest, or if she has absolutely no chance to live giving birth it should be allowed in those circumstances.

Many people don't talk about the effects it has on young mothers or even older mothers. Some women aren't ready to have a baby, and that's their decision to make. Most women might be too young and don't have access to the right resources to care for a baby. I'm not saying they will stay like that forever, but sometimes it's better if some parents don't have children, as they could either abuse them or neglect them because of their own faults or mistakes. That's my view on the topic.

I feel like this argument holds no validity. While their argument is there are alternatives… when woman are afforded them pro lifers typically ignore the life once that life is brought into the world. So let’s talk about it! Let us talk about all of the children who were given up for adoption and currently face horrible living conditions in foster care and are typically used to fund a household without being afforded the opportunity for good nurturing parents. They are not babies until they exit the mother’s womb. Until then they are simply a collection of organs inside another individual.

The adoption and foster system is seriously messed up, stop forcing babies to be born into horrible lives.
