California’s real problem is that it hasn’t gone far enough protecting working people—corporate power and wealth inequality keep growing while housing and healthcare are still out of reach for too many.
California is proof that high taxes and overregulation just drive people and businesses away. Maybe it’s time to take a page from states that actually value personal freedom and fiscal responsibility.
When government tries to control every aspect of life, you end up with the mess we see in California. Less regulation and more individual choice would solve a lot of these issues.
