Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
5>5 Personal answerI believe that the adoption process is expensive, difficult and time consuming. I could support anyone adopting a child as long as an adequate environment is provided. I don't believe that the "gay" life style is "normal" and I don't believe that society should try to portray it as "normal". Legal yes, "normal" no. I don't feel we can guarantee that a child growing up in a household with "gay" parents would not be influenced in any way toward this life style. So, to say that using the same background checks as a heterosexual couple would be sufficient to me would not be enough. I know that single parents looking to adopt have a harder time of it. I would expect a "gay" couple to undergo additional scrutiny too. In the end, I think nothing is better than the "traditional" household. One working parent, one homemaker.....and yes, one of each sex. Call me old fashioned. |
