Yes, because I believe our current capitalist system lets the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The wealth gap has been rising every year because the rich are allowed to do what they want and keep the lower classes below them. Sure, the rich are taxed more than the poor, but there are loopholes to get around those taxes that let the rich grow unchecked. Wealth will never be better distributed if we allow the system to continue the way it is.

I think that our capitalistic society benefits the rich much more than the poor, and there is too big a wealth gap between the two. I think that large multi billion dollar corporations should pay higher taxes than poorer people and the government should then use the extra money for programs for the poor.

We should impose more taxes on the rich and prevent these rich people/companies from creating monopolies or trying to evade paying taxes in order to keep our economy stable. This could also give more opportunities for the poor or lower-class people to live a stable life.

I think purely ideologically capitalism can give a consumer freedom of choice. However with current regulations and practices, oligopolies give you an illusion of choice.

Capitalism, if left unchecked, will certainly breed issues of monopolies and thus, must always remain with some degree of interventionism to stabilize markets and incentivize small and local businesses keep money within their communities.

Voting with your dollars is an unfair system. It gives all the power to a few people. Those few people have been bending and twisting laws in order to benefit them. They always want to socialize their losses and keep all their gains. This is happening over and over again, in many different ways. First we are taxed then our taxes go to companies oil, Pharma, all kinds of companies. They charge us a ton of money for everything and yet they get the tax breaks and use loopholes and do stock buybacks. Capitalism in this day and age has evolved to be effective. As a straight, white, male, I found it quite hard to get a job. Quite often I found that I was a minority in a room full of minorities. However, I believe this is a net positive to some extent. The job market has been long dominated by white males and the change is welcome, as long as it balances itself out proportionally in the end.

Capitalism is horrible, it's a system where the rich get richer the poor get poorer and everyone but the 1% is in a rat race just to die living off barely enough to survive for the years before that. It provides nothing to a social safety net and really prevents generational wealth acquisition.

Elizabeth Warren Walks Back Murder Comments

Congressional Democrats broadly denounced the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson Friday morning, after Republicans started accusing Sen. Elizabeth Warren of excusing violence.“No one's condoning this,” said Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.). “Violence never is the right answer for anything. And it was a horrible murder, a tragic loss for his family.” Warren this week condemned the shooting, but added that people “can be pushed only so far.”"We'll say it over and over," Warren said on MSNBC’S “The ReidOut.” " Violence is never the answer. This guy [Luigi Mangione] gets a trial who's allegedly killed the CEO of UnitedHealth, but you can only push people so far, and then they start to take matters into their own hands."In a statement to POLITICO, Warren said, “Violence is never the answer. Period. I should have been much clearer that there is never a justification for murder.” Top Republicans denounced Warren's comments and the walked-back rhetoric, with House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) calling it “inappropriate and dangerous.”Some House Democrats asked about the incident on Thursday pivoted the conversation to discuss policy options on health care or gun safety.“I don't really know that this is really a space that Congress normally weighs in on,” said Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas). “But at the end of the day, I think it’s an opportunity, because now people are talking about health care and to talk about the fact that this industry has honestly not been as helpful as it could be.”“Violence is never the answer,” said Rep.
