Yes, because I believe our current capitalist system lets the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The wealth gap has been rising every year because the rich are allowed to do what they want and keep the lower classes below them. Sure, the rich are taxed more than the poor, but there are loopholes to get around those taxes that let the rich grow unchecked. Wealth will never be better distributed if we allow the system to continue the way it is.

 @9H7MC2G from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

I think that our capitalistic society benefits the rich much more than the poor, and there is too big a wealth gap between the two. I think that large multi billion dollar corporations should pay higher taxes than poorer people and the government should then use the extra money for programs for the poor.

 @9H9N8YTanswered…3yrs3Y

We should impose more taxes on the rich and prevent these rich people/companies from creating monopolies or trying to evade paying taxes in order to keep our economy stable. This could also give more opportunities for the poor or lower-class people to live a stable life.

 @9H9NFLH from Indiana  answered…3yrs3Y

I would try to help bridge the wealth disparity created between the rich and the poor as a result of capitalist systems.

I would reform the system into one that maintains a proper social safety net, encouraging the Nordic capitalist system. This system would additionally provide higher regulation on large corporations to protect workers, consumers, and the environment

 @9H9MBBFanswered…3yrs3Y

I would create a policy similar to the Sherman anti-trust act so that the huge mega corporations are less powerful and so that the funds accumulated by them can be allocated to things that require economic backing like higher education and healthcare.

 @9H9P7NC from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Not qualified to make changes to the system, but would want reworking to the education/school system

Yes, I would decrease the economic gap between the poor and wealthy and tax the wealthy as well as corporations more to improve infrastructure and systems for the good of all people

 @9H9NRVX from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

The American capitalist system has always provided more for the wealthy than the impoverished. In order to start eliminating this bias the rich must pay more taxes than they do right now.

 @9HBRC5N from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

I don’t have any changes in mind that would be worth doing but if I had any I probably would

 @9HBPJV2 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9H9M49Fanswered…3yrs3Y

There is some lacking in the capitalist system, where the poor remain poor while the rich get richer. There should at least be some help for poorer people who can't afford basic needs like food, water, etc.

 @9HBPNF4Republican from Kansas  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9HBQ3SP from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, I believe our capitalist system is built to build up the rich and allow the poor the suffer more than they already have. I think the richer you are the more taxes you should pay, why should poor people pay the same amount of tax a billionaire pays?

 @9HB5VRZ from Indiana  answered…3yrs3Y

I wouldn't make any changes because I don't know much about capitalism.

 @9H6JC46 from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9HBQMH8 from Wisconsin  answered…3yrs3Y

capitalism is arguably the economic system that has shown to work the best, If anything we need to go back into our orignail ideas of capitalism and mercantilism

 @9H9Q4CD from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

I would provide more tax breaks for education purposes so people can be more informed and better contributors to society.

 @9H8VWHR from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

I would make healthcare free, college free and make Black history, native American history, Asian history and all American history accessible in public schools. I would limit police budgets to help out more community based programs.

 @9HBRM8M from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe our current capitalist system benefits the 1% far more than anyone else. It should be overturned entirely, and rethought.

 @45TX9V3 answered…3yrs3Y

I would make a more compassionate capitalism. One that ensures that the poor are also taken care of while maintaining the freedom of markets to determine prices.

 @9H8LXPJRepublican from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Many people would not like me but with my beliefs and me being a republican, I have dealt with democrats' a certain amount. I believe in certain things that trump was on his way to do but people got mad and impeached him and many democrats are regretting that and wanting Biden to do some of the things that Trump was on his way to do. When trump was in office we had the lowest gas prices in history, in equal to minimum wage

 @9H8C9W8 from Idaho  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe capitalism works only in specific situations. At the moment in America, capitalism has failed the lower and middle class, while extremely benefitting the upper class.

 @9H6SBN5  from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

I'd redistribute the wealth, not evenly, but not in the hands of the 1% and make it impossible for that 1% to ever happen again through policy and law, as well as hard trust busting.

 @9H7M9YM from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

In allowing each individual to act unhampered by government regulations, capitalism causes wealth to be created in the most efficient manner possible which ultimately raises the standard of living, increases the economic opportunities, and makes available an ever growing supply of products for everyone.

I would allow the markets to become more free without the excessive regulation of the government. There will still some regulation to stop corporations from exploiting people, but much less than there currently is. We need more capitalism, instead of mixing socialism into our capitalism and wondering why the 'capitalism' has suddenly failed us.

Abolish it. Capitalism breeds greed, poverty, and many issues. Capitalism appeals to those with power and money because they have nothing to lose.

 @9H7TWM7 from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes I would, the current capitalist system isn't even capitalist as we bail out companies when they fail. We need more welfare and more restrictions on what companies can do.
