Should critical race theory be taught in K-12 education?
Critical race theory is a mad duo concept to derive young white kids pride in their skin because of…
It shouldn't be held against white people that their ancestors enslaved black people, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't learn about it. Slavery was a big thing in the United States. A lot of things came from this, good and bad. We shouldn't numb out the great things that happened and the bad things that happened just because you wanna be the victim. How are black people supposed to feel good that they find out that their ancestors were enslaved?
You are trying to wash away an important piece of history that everyone should learn about. Not learning about this is depriving young black kids of how important they truly are and what their ancestors went through; not teaching just shows that nobody cares that a million black people were killed, over 1000 hanged/lynched, and over 5000 raped. And millions more were enslaved. If it were the other way around, you guys would switch it around. You don't know how it feels to talk about slavery and the KKK, and everyone is just staring at you cause of the color of your skin. But you realize that kids won't be aware if we don't teach that.
