The United States has this thing called the separation of church and state, so if this has to do with religion I would like to inform you now that if would go against our own laws as a country to impose our own religion on others via laws. I would also like to ask you if you could force yourself to have romantic feelings for someone of the same sex as you. If you can't, why would a queer person be able to? Another question I have is, can you yourself stop having romantic feelings towards someone as if you had a switch to turn those feeling off? No? How about simply turning off all romantic feelings for people of the opposite sex? Still no? Then why would a queer person be able to? Someone shouldn't have to live their life alone because the way their brain is wired? Yes, I phrased to make sure it can't be mistaken for a choice because it's not, love is triggered by hormones that aren't consciously produced. We have no control over those feelings, shouldn't be forced to remain alone because of them, and we shouldn't use religion as an excuse to take away other people's rights. Please excuse my bad writing, I have trouble putting thoughts into words.
