Creators deserve to be paid when their work helps train AI systems. If AI companies make money using huge amounts of books, art, music, or code created by real people, it’s only fair that those people get some kind of credit or payment.

I 100% agree. It is unfair to use someones work without consent and then not even pay them for their work being used.

 @BBDXDGM from Washington  agreed…4mos4MO

First off I think generative ai should not be used in general. But if it comes down to this, yes, they should be compensated for it.

If youre going to use AI do it ethically. AI steals everything from Art to writing. AI has taken over the world, AI is doing stuff that humans have worked years upon years for.

 @BBC2SWRRepublican  from Pennsylvania  agreed…4mos4MO

AI steals people's work, identity, and many other things, so if they are going to use i,t then make it more social

 @BBD9WSS from Utah  disagreed…4mos4MO

its basically theft, you should require consent and payment to train an AI model with someone else's art

 @BBD5Y9Q from Missouri  disagreed…4mos4MO

AI is not human and takes away from Human work and human art. AI will never and should never replace human innovation and creativity.

 @BBCWDMK from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

I believe that AI tools should not be used and be a regular source because it doesn't have all accurate information which might not be all truth and could make people believe false information.

 @BBCTF88 from Florida  disagreed…4mos4MO

The organizations that train Artificial intelligence must be given permission before training. Some of the these works that are being used to train AI are copyrighted and if you were to use it, this would be plagiarism as AI does not make something new, but rather spit something out chimeric in nature.

 @BCPNFLX  from Indiana  disagreed…3mos3MO

Artists own the rights to their pieces (unless sold) so taking and using them without permission/consent would be the equivalent to stealing the piece. Stealing and theft are both very real crimes. Not only are you stealing the art, you’re using it for your personal gain afterwards.

 @BC5VSW3 from Iowa  disagreed…3mos3MO

Ai could almost perfectly replicate someone's art style; so it could easily just steal somebody's work and pump out copies, essentially making someone's whole art skills obsolete.

 @BBHSYKM from Georgia  disagreed…4mos4MO

they are stealing copyrighted assests by other people without paying, and using them for commercial use

 @BBFK3SF from Colorado  disagreed…4mos4MO

You’re using someone’s work to improve your product that you are using to make a profit. It’s not right to steal IP.

 @BBDFHB2 from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

I believe that AI Training data compensation should not be allowed because ai not always have accurate information which could be useful and false.

 @BBCXWJ4 from North Dakota  disagreed…4mos4MO

It's stealing from people, and people deserve fair compensation for their work being used to train AI.

 @BBKTDR6  from Ohio  disagreed…4mos4MO

If they didn't, AI would be stealing from those creators, or at the very least cheating them out of money they could be earning.

 @BBDCMRN from South Carolina  agreed…4mos4MO

data sets may inadvertently encode societal biases, reflecting historical inequalities, or systemic injustices present in the data collection process.

 @BBDB983 from New Mexico  disagreed…4mos4MO

Using AI for scamming, identification theft, making pornographic media of strangers without their consent is all being elevated with the overall use of AI

 @BBCY763Peace and Freedom from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

The strongest argument against the "no compensation" position is that AI models, unlike human learners, reproduce, memorize, and directly compete with their training data, constituting economic harm rather than just "fair use" inspiration. This commodification of human work requires a new licensing framework to ensure sustainability and ethical, legal data sourcing.

 @BBCWWF8 from Utah  disagreed…4mos4MO

to train something on peoples work is to inharently copy and steal and but it in a data base without compensation

  @Lil_EndersProgressive from Maryland  disagreed…4mos4MO

If you are going to use and train AI, make it as ethical as you can. AI steals other peoples art, writing, and overall creativity that humans worked years upon years to master. To have AI take that away from them by doing what they take hours to do in a few seconds, they should be compensated.

 @BBCVYYJ from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

People's work should be honored. Small artists can work day and night without recognition, while an AI can steal their work and be paid more with more recognition.

 @BBCQWT4 from Pennsylvania  disagreed…4mos4MO

Using somebody's work without compensating them or giving consent is not only morally wrong in every way, but can become a serious issue when it comes to copyrights.

 @BBD7M5S  from Indiana  disagreed…4mos4MO

I’m gonna use some pathos here, so if you don’t like that then go ahead and skip. Imagine that someone took your research, claimed it as their own, and published it to the mass public along with others to say it’s their ‘own’. That is what AI is doing.
