The new political employees would most likely be more loyal to Donald Trump than to America, giving him power he shouldn’t have.

The deep state makes decisions that seem unethical but are apart of a bigger picture in comprehensible to certain members of a society of our scale.

The strongest counter-argument to the "Yes" position on firing the "Deep State" is that it conflates a non-partisan civil service, created by law to provide expertise and stability, with a political conspiracy.

If we give the president to fire non-political federal civil servants, we are allowing an overreach of executive power which allows the president of the United states to act on emotion rather than what is for the good of the country.

Allowing the president to fire any non-political federal civil servants will allow for the erosion of American democracy, posing a grave threat to all U.S. citizens.

the deep state is occupied by unelected people with power to influence political positions over the public and turnover is the only way to LIMIT this.

The federal government has grown in power and has not done good by it, even when violating states'rights and sovereignty.

The government shouldn't have too much power and should have some limitations on what he/she can do.

while he wouldn't do it often but if someone isn't contributing or a job isn't being completed those people should be fired

 @BCNSL86  from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

Because millions of unelected federal employees help shape policy long-term, reforming or replacing parts of the bureaucracy may be necessary to improve accountability, reduce inefficiency, and ensure elected leaders can fully implement the will of voters.

 @BC9LCWCRepublican from West Virginia  agreed…3mos3MO

Article 1 of the Constitution invests the executive authority in the President. Any law or norm which prevents the present from executing the law (except for the impeachment clause) as he sees fit is a fundamentally unconstitutional practice. The will of the people is expressed in the election of the President, and if there are federal officials who oppose the presidents agenda and cannot be fired they are being paid by the taxpayer to oppose what the taxpayer and cannot be held accountable. Such a system is unworkable and unsustainable.

 @BC66R3M from Kansas  agreed…3mos3MO

Fewer than 10% of federal disciplinary cases succeed, making it hard to remove obstructive officials. Allowing some firings would improve accountability while keeping skilled staff.

The size of the current federal government employment base has been increasingly bloated without an acceptable improvement in delivering services.

 @BBRNY6B from California  agreed…4mos4MO

These people have worked and do important work for the government that is not directly political; they are federal employees; employees need to run everything in the world

 @BBR8Y9Y from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

The president should only be available to fire a certain amount of people and people that are only originally from this country.
