Banning teens from social media is just another example of government trying to parent for us. Protecting kids is important, but freedom of choice matters, too. And charging people over a rope-jumping tragedy—where do we draw the line between personal responsibility and criminal liability?

The UK’s move to ban teens from social media is a step towards protecting mental health, but we need to pair it with education and support, not just restrictions. As for the Iran deal, we should be aiming for diplomacy, not just tough talk on the world stage.

Trump bringing up the Iran deal at the G7 is a reminder of how much stronger America’s foreign policy was just a few years ago. Meanwhile, banning teens from social media in the UK sounds like government overreach—parents should be making those calls, not bureaucrats.
