Foreigners and immigrants are the ones who hold up this country. They have worked hard to get to the position where they are and they are the ones mostly affected by decisions that they haven’t even taken. One example is trump deporting immigrants

 @B8KGXLC from Alabama  agreed…6mos6MO

imigrans should not be judged bc one they came to make money and the are trying to make america better

 @B9JXGP9Democrat  from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

Foreigners should only be allowed to vote if they went through the process of becoming a US citizen.

 @B9KB85Ragreed…4mos4MO

No they are not from the united states so they cant vote for a leftist democrat so they can try to stay here

 @B9KB275 from Arizona  agreed…4mos4MO

The act of becoming a citizen doesn't magically transform you into a new person. You still maintain your culture, heritage, beliefs, traditions, ect. Foreigners will more times then not vote to increase immigration even if the native population of a nation says otherwise. Everyone is tribal and, the blank slate doesn't exist.

 @B9K7Q6F from New York  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes. Non citizens do not have what's best for USA in mind. They are not as nationally concerned as citizens

 @BDBWKPH from Washington  disagreed…3wks3W

Foreigners should not have the right to vote in the USA because they are not a citizen there, however they should, as the same for everyone else, be granted that right the moment they become a citizen through legal means.

 @BC3X4KD from Washington  agreed…2mos2MO

many immigrant families are in the waiting list for years, sometimes even upwards of 20. We shouldn't be holding these people accountable for a faulty system. Furthermore, most immigrants (even illegal immigrants) pay taxes. If they pay taxes, they should be eligible to vote.

 @BB4QSQL from Washington  agreed…4mos4MO

If you live in the US then you should be able to have an opinion on what is happening in the country.

 @B979SDBDemocrat from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

Non-citizens being able to vote decreases election security and makes it easier for foreign entities to manipulate democratic processes.

 @B88NRTZRepublican from Washington  disagreed…7mos7MO

Why do people who don't live here get to dictate what I get to do in my own country? I don't get to decide what happens in China, Russia, France, etc. Makes 0 sense.

 @B9TFHMK from Washington  disagreed…4mos4MO

They have not earned the right to vote. Those that are citizens are more invested in the laws of the land. Become a citizen and then you will have the right to vote. It is simple common sense.

 @B9X8FWG from Washington  disagreed…4mos4MO

they weren't born here and if they don't have citizenship I think that they shouldn't but If they do have citizenship they should be able to vote

 @BD5LFDG from Washington  disagreed…1mo1MO

They may not see the best interest in the American public and may be bias for their own cultural beliefs

 @B8JZCBC from Washington  disagreed…6mos6MO

The people who should only be able to vote for our president are the people who are citizens of that country.

 @BCS56Y6Democrat from Washington  agreed…2mos2MO

They are still people and citizens if they are in this country. All citizens should have the right to vote if they wish.

 @B942R8B from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

They aren’t citizens, so they shouldn’t have a say in what happens to U.S. citizens, the large majority of our population. If they want a say, they can apply for their own citizenship.

 @B93LRS4 from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

There is no argument for allowing foreigners to have a right to vote in any U.S. election! If not a citizen, then they have no voting privileges!

 @B929Q74 from Washington  agreed…5mos5MO

Arguments for granting non-citizens the right to vote include economic contributions, citing a $96.7 billion tax payment by undocumented immigrants in 2022, historical precedent with 40 states previously allowing non-citizen voting, and the principle of democratic fairness. Proponents contend that allowing non-citizens to vote, currently practiced in locations like D.C. and several states, promotes community integration and civic engagementMoreover, data indicates that voter fraud by non-citizens is "vanishingly rare," supporting the argument that expanding local voting access upholds democratic principles without undermining election integrity

 @B8XCKM6Progressive from Washington  agreed…6mos6MO

In 2023, Pew Research concluded that there are about 14 million undocumented immigrants who live in the United States. This is a significant portion of the population that deserves to play a role in their government.

 @B86WKGH from Washington  disagreed…7mos7MO

Foreigners should only vote if they are legal US citizens and only then should they should have the ability to excerise those rights.

 @BDC4BZ4Independent from Washington  disagreed…3wks3W

The right to vote is not one of the inalienable rights of the constitution, meaning it is only granted to citizens of the United States.

 @B8LZJVF from Washington  disagreed…6mos6MO

Foreigners often bring good family values and tend to help each other out. This shows that they mean no harm and should have the right to vote.

 @B987385 from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

US citizens should dictate what we should do for our country. Other countries would expect the same thing, why should we be different? We don't know or understand what's going on in that country unless we are full-fledged citizens.
