So you’re saying LGBTQ people are 100% perverted and therefore shouldn’t adopt?
Let’s break this down. If we’re using biblical standards, the Bible talks about things like lying, cheating, greed, and other sins just as much, if not more, than sexual behavior. But we don’t go around saying liars or greedy people can’t adopt children, even though those behaviors damage families too. Jesus himself calls remarriage after divorce "adultery" in Matthew 19:9, yet I don't hear you advocating for banning divorced people from adopting. And guess what? Many divorced individuals raise perfectly happy, well-adjusted children. So why are we selectively applying biblical principles to LGBTQ+ people but not to other groups that also "deviate" from scripture?
You're using the Bible to justify a blanket condemnation of an entire group of people, but even Jesus warned against being overly judgmental (Matthew 7:1-5). If we’re going to use moral standards, then we have to apply them equally. Otherwise, we’re just cherry-picking who gets to be considered “worthy” of parenthood based on personal bias, not actual evidence of their character.
Either we apply the same strict biblical standard to *everybody*—no divorcees, no one who’s ever lusted in their hearts, no one who’s ever sinned—or we admit that the real issue here is personal bias, not morality.

Again, you're adding things to my argument. I didn't say they were 100% perverted – some of them have good intentions, some of them are not toxic people – but in a strictly s-xual sense, yes they are perverted, just as someone who is colourblind has a perverted sense of vision. Also, the Bible clearly calls "homosexuality" an "abomination" – in fact, such an abomination that God destroyed Sodom and Gommorah for it in the book of Genesis. Paul also condemns it, and there are lots of passages that condemn it and affirm that it is sinful and that… Read more

Allow me to quote what you said:

then go and accuse me of saying I think anyone who wants to adopt should be able to.
To be clear, think everyone should be held to the same standard. If someone has a criminal record, is not loving, supportive, or capable, then they should not be able to adopt
The Bible calls a lot of things “abominations.” Eating shellfish (Leviticus 11:10), wearing mixed fabrics (Leviticus 19:19), and working on the Sabbath (Exodus 31:14) are all labeled as abominations or worthy of death. Yet,… Read more
