A fetus is a human being. Abortion is murder and wrong. I do sympathise with the people who were forced to conceive, however the killing of a child makes them no better that the person who wronged them. But those abortions are rare. the majority of abortions are because women cant close their legs and guys are no better.

I don't agree with abortion you and litally killing a innocent child that can't speak for theirselves. Why do you call a bacteria on mars a life but not a heartbeat in a mothers belly. Also my grandma has always said "no wonder we haven't found a care for cancer people now days are killing they baby's. I just don't get it how you could her the heartbeat of your baby inside of your belly and decide to kill it, it is so sad.

first of all "litally"? if you can not spell you should not be debating important topics. But to the real point, If a 13 year old kid wanted to sign something, they cant. They are under the age of consent and technically cant speak for themselves. Everything they do is up to the parents. Just as their life should be.

I agree, from the moment the baby is conceived, it is a living human child and deserves the right to live.

 @BCJMPDJ from Texas  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes, abortion is murdering a baby child and should be illegal unless the baby in the uterus is medically harmful to the mother

 @BCKWT5V from Georgia  commented…3mos3MO

Your example is the baby being harmful to the mothers health, but what if that mother cant provide for the kid and ends up harming their nutrition, social skills, or even brain development? Most mothers considering an abortion can not give the necessary needs for the future baby.

It is just a fetus. If someone gets far along enough in a pregnancy to have a baby shower, I would assume they want to keep the baby. They had the CHOICE to keep the baby and have a baby shower to provide for said baby.

 @BCMBBMF from New Jersey  disagreed…3mos3MO

it's called a baby shower because the mother is planning to give birth to the fetus that eventually becomes a BABY. also, baby showers are held usually 28-32 weeks into the pregnancy, and abortions can only be performed up until ~24 weeks. so by the time this event happens, the fetus has already developed into a baby and is no longer viable for abortions.

 @BCLC4GY from North Carolina  commented…3mos3MO

The baby is still a person, male or female. Just because they aren't born yet, does not mean that they should have to fear for their lives because of people who get pregnant just to have an abortion.

when it comes to a baby shower, its friends and family "showering" the baby regardless of it being a fetus. friends and family bring gifts and necessities that the baby will need when the baby comes into this world. When baby showers occur, the baby is already past the point of abortion, making the argument somewhat irrelevant.

 @BCKM79K  from Texas  disagreed…3mos3MO

"Baby Shower" parties are to celebrate and gain gifts for the fetus that will eventually grow into an actual baby. The parties are used to prepare the parents for the future that awaits. Everyone has different beliefs in religion, so I see no need in bringing it up in an argument debating the rights of someone's own body and their decision to do what they want to their own body. Religion has no purpose in this argument because of the diversity that there is in the world.

 @BCKDZ9T from Texas  disagreed…3mos3MO

It's just semantics, it really depends on the perspective of the person who is pregnant and if they want to carry the fetus to full term or not.

 @BCJWP2Q from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

baby showers are mostly for women months pregnant, and women should have the right to abort a baby since it is they're body

 @BCJVBFLDemocrat from Texas  disagreed…3mos3MO

People who are healthy enough to have a baby can call this child whatever they want but people who aren't able to have a child due to health issues will call it a fetus.

 @B98FWJM  from Texas  disagreed…3mos3MO

Baby showers are only held for mothers who plan to carry the baby to term, and life begins at the first breath in all abrahamic religions.

 @BCJMF2CRepublican from Colorado  disagreed…3mos3MO

its called a baby shower for a reason because they decided to keep the fetus and will raise it into the baby and throughout its life a baby shower is something people throw to get things like diapers, wipes, clothes, bottles, sometimes strollers.

 @BCJM9S2 from Missouri  disagreed…3mos3MO

People often use the word “baby” in everyday language during pregnancy (like “baby shower”) as a cultural and emotional term, not a precise biological or legal definition. Even people who support abortion rights may still say “baby” in a personal or social context. It doesn’t always reflect a claim about when personhood begins—it’s more about attachment, anticipation, and tradition.

 @BCJKZSD from Indiana  disagreed…3mos3MO

The argument I have is, what if an individual didn't ask to have a child? They might not have the funds nor the stability to have a child, so their only option is to get an Abortion. That being said, what if there are medical problems that require this person to have to get an Abortion?
