Because I am religious, I do not support same sex marriage. I understand that the constitution guarantees the right to pursue happiness, but not at the expense of perverting the American family.

 @B6VMVBH from North Carolina  answered…2wks2W

The government cant tell people what not to do about this, but from my religious point of view I think that its wrong

 @B4DHQ46 from North Carolina  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, because the government should not be able to interfere with marriage. No, because Christianity says that same-sex marriage and just homosexuality in general is a sin.

 @9GKVKNBIndependent from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, it's a basic human right to be able to marry the one or ones you love and care about, as long as you're both able to consent to it.

 @9FSRKXM from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

No, I don't support same-sex marriage but I am also not opposed to it. It is up to those people that want to marry the same sex. I will not be partaking in that.

yes because if you love someone no matter the sex it shouldn't matter what other people think

 @96DG4FT from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

I don't really care. If someone likes a certain person that's them. I have no part in their feelings at all.

 @96C6HM6 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

I don’t support but I won’t treat them bad. I think people can do what they want and should accept if churches don’t want to allow same sex ceremonies.

I religiously do not agree with it but will not fight any one trying to undertake same sex marriage as long as it does not force others to support or participate in it(ex: forcing a church to hold a wedding there even if they do not agree with it or shop owners being forced to do something involving the wedding).

 @955PXYP from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

not because that can influence commercials or TV for children or teaching more people, but that is already the decision of each person, of each one so it could be done but it should be something secret and not public, that it be repeated just like us we respect one, and that they are not discriminated against.

yes i support the legalization of same sex marriage because if you really love someone it should not matter if they are the same gender and some people find there best friend, sole mate their better half. love should not have a stereotype because that is what makes people happy.

 @8ZHJ8CH from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

 @darrintaylor660 from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, take religion out of anything to do with Marriage. It should only be a legal contract with the government and between 2 or more people.

 @8RFTVLRWomen’s Equality from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

There is nothing wrong with same sex marriage people can marry whatever they choose too

 @dillonraganIndependent from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but the government does not have the authority to deny same sex marriage

 @8PK9QL8 from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, we should also pass the equality act which will prohibit workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Churches that refuse to perform same-sex ceremonies should also lose their tax exemption status.

 @8PK8G32Independent from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

I don’t really judge on that because as long as you are happy. You are your own person.

 @8PG2JB8 from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, I want Happy, Loving Gay couples to be able to guard their personal marijuana with assault weapons and adopt kids.

 @8L7SSRC from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

No, allow civil unions. However, it should not be called marriage or be imposed on religious organizations as such.

 @8L3TWZD from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but overall, the government should have no power to declare marriage "legal" "illegal"

 @8KXM8VP from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Honestly it doesn't affect me so it doesn't matter, but I do feel like everyone has a right to love whomever as long as the relationship is a healthy and happy one

 @8JXB883 from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but it should be called something other than marriage to appease both the religious community as well as same-sex couples.

 @99ZS6X4 from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

It should be allowed but highly discouraged, Allow churches the right to refuse same-sex ceremonies, but be respectful and protect couples from bodily harm.

 @99N3LHS from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @99KMYWW from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @99KKTS3 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y
