Yes, but tax benefits for any married couple should be determined by the amount of children they produce or adopt
Yes, and seperate the legal marriage from the religious one for all marriages. Get priests, rabbis, imams, etc out of the signing of a marriage license and have a JP do the signing of legal marriage separately either same day or day before at the couple's discretion
This would also allow people who are not allowed to legally marry - like disabled people on Medicaid - the ability to have the religious ceremony without the legal one, and gets taxpayers out of the mess of poly families who already have the ability to legally join together as an LLC.
@935NL2H3yrs3Y
It should be decided on a state by state basis
@96Q8JCR3yrs3Y
not really but if that's what you wanna do then okay i guess
@96PFYQ43yrs3Y
Yes, but raise taxes on gay couples and other adults without children.
@966ZR2YIndependent3yrs3Y
Yes, Government shouldn't even be involved with the union between two people that love each other. There are bigger problems in the world than debating on legalizing the ability to marry the person you love. It's finally been legalized, time to move on.
@8R5PLKQ5yrs5Y
it doesn't really affect me so I don't really care if it is legalized or not
@8L2PR8D5yrs5Y
Yes, and give civil unions the same rights and privileges as marriage
yes, I'm gay and I want the right to get married if I so choose
@8HS7TPR5yrs5Y
should be up to the people not everyone else
@8GJQ9N25yrs5Y
Yes, it would be unconstitutional to refuse people that right.
@993PFN93yrs3Y
You do you, it's not up to me but know that there are always people who disagree.
@97XW38V3yrs3Y
Yes, everyone deserves the right to marry who they love
@8MZZ7585yrs5Y
love is love, no matter what you have, love is not whats on your body, its about whats in your mind and heart, if this is "The land of the free" make it so
@96M8D4JRepublican3yrs3Y
Not for me, but I could care less.
@MSJG3Z5yrs5Y
Individual decision, does not need a master to grant permission.
@9LCWCGF1yr1Y
The Bible is very clear on this issue. Words have meanings, a same-sex union isn't a marriage. However nobody says civil life has to follow the Bible in the 21st century. This mustn't be forced onto churches though.
