On June 26, 2015 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the denial of marriage licenses violated the Due Process and the Equal Protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. The ruling made same sex marriage legal in all 50 U.S. States.

i don't have an opinion on this question
@9JMPZ2X2yrs2Y
Eliminate the term marriage from a political standpoint. All marriages should simply be civil or domestic unions.
@9D4NRDZ2yrs2Y
The government should have nothing to do with personal relationships unless they are illegal such as with an adult and a minor.
@9CFL2VV2yrs2Y
Yes, there should be no bans on any marriages as long as it isn’t a predatory or incest marriage.
@97HNYND3yrs3Y
All people should be able to marry who they want to, regardless of gender.
@96Q8MVWWomen’s Equality3yrs3Y
That some people should be however they wanna be with
@96Q6JD23yrs3Y
I remain politically neutral and base all my beliefs on the Bible.
@96MNPT33yrs3Y
They can legalize it so people have the freedom to choose, but I believe marriage is between a man and a woman.
@96C5XV53yrs3Y
It should be legal to marry anyone you want to.
@96C5WR7Women’s Equality3yrs3Y
Yes, but as long as they keep their privacy going non public.
@96BTB2XWomen’s Equality3yrs3Y
Yes, people should be allowed to marry whomever they want.
@969TLVW3yrs3Y
yes, but allow only girls to have same-sex marriage
@966ZBK23yrs3Y
i base all my beliefs on the Bible and for that reason I know that God created marriage for it to be between a man and I woman.
@965WCD63yrs3Y
I base all my beliefs on the Bible and for the reason I know that God intended marriage to be solemnly between a man and a women and I too agree with this.
@964D33S3yrs3Y
It should be up to the states and I don't really care
@964CWW4Constitution3yrs3Y
no, but I don't hate it either
@962R7YJ3yrs3Y
I base all my beliefs on the Bible. God intended marriage to be a permanent, intimate bond between a man and a woman. Men and women are designed to complement each other so they may be capable of satisfying each other’s emotional and sexual needs and of providing children.
@95ZM7QC3yrs3Y
Yes, but allow churches the right to refuse same-sex ceremonies (for relious reasons only).
@95Y98ZSIndependent3yrs3Y
I don't really mind what people choose to do.
@95WQ72NConstitution3yrs3Y
What does it hurt, government has no business decided this issue.
@95NMGVW3yrs3Y
I don’t care to be honest with you
@95FK6PY3yrs3Y
I don't decide for people they decide for themselves with a majority vote on such a subject.
@95B2XFD3yrs3Y
i agree but i will not be participating its your own decision
@94HSHBT3yrs3Y
Everyone has the right to marry whoever they want
@94F34P43yrs3Y
I think it is ok because this might gave been you and you would want support but I will not fight for this.
@94DMD9Z3yrs3Y
I accept it but dont support it.
@94BCVBQ3yrs3Y
if you really want it then i'll support it
@9493S9H3yrs3Y
No government no religious involvement
@948SRPV3yrs3Y
I dont support it but, I dont judge anyone for it. do what you want to do
@945YLBBProgressive3yrs3Y
To me it doesn't matter if the same sex marriage its there choice and it doesn't effect anyway
@9428H59Independent3yrs3Y
Marriage should be a freedom of expression and be allowed who you want to marry, but not at the expense of forcing others to follow as well. If certain churches or religious places "peacefully" wish to not hold the ceremony so unless its the ONLY location in your town or area of living find another location.
@93HW9WF3yrs3Y
Yes, it should be legalized anywhere in the US, even in churches.
@93GRGYW3yrs3Y
@93FC8273yrs3Y
Marriage has many definitions and I go by the one the bible has which is solely between a and a woman, if it isn't that it isn't marriage anymore. (The bible is very specific on this matter, there are a lot of other standards as well) But if you aren't going for a biblical marriage at all, then what's the point of it at all? It doesn't matter.
@935T99F3yrs3Y
I don't support it but people can be retarded.
@92564MN3yrs3Y
What am i to say to say you can’t get married to the same sex.
@8XNBQWS4yrs4Y
Yes, but call it a civil union and allow marriage to be used between a man a woman to identify the difference.
@8VHFRXQ4yrs4Y
this is a conflict starter in general.
@8TKLWVX4yrs4Y
If passed into law by the state
@8QS59LK5yrs5Y
The state should have nothing to do with marriage as an institution. It should be personal, not civic.
@8PQCF6L5yrs5Y
marriage should be religious term. Civil union is the government term
@8HFCWBW5yrs5Y
Yes, people should be given the right to marry whoever they choose, and government and religious groups / organizations should stay out of it.
@8HDKMDP5yrs5Y
Yes, no one should care about who one loves.
@8GC6K665yrs5Y
yes everyone has a right to get married to who they love no matter what
@8F9V5FB5yrs5Y
Yes, anyone should be able to marry anyone and it shouldn’t be anyone’s option.
@9CMXLJQ2yrs2Y
Yes, and all private and religious institutions should be required to honor same sex marriage. Failure to do so should result in exorbitant monetary fines and prison sentencing.
@99MPGFJ3yrs3Y
people should be able to be happy with other people
@99MM3KX3yrs3Y
yes and take government out of marriage as a whole
@9945KQ23yrs3Y
I think if they want to do it then they can go ahead as long as it has nothing to do with me.
@98K7RBD3yrs3Y
Yes, and add legal protections guarding against discrimination for LGBTQ+ community members, including transgender people.
@989V7H53yrs3Y
It should be a private thing
@9899X2X3yrs3Y
While I can empathize with the Christian religion, as same sex marriage is in a way disrespecting their culture (kind of like if I where to put kiwis on pizza), but at this point marriage has transcended the religion
@9894HP63yrs3Y
what a king does in his castle is his business
@982J9CR3yrs3Y
Yes and ethical polyamorous marriage should be legalized
@97TT84QRepublican3yrs3Y
Yes if they don't force it on me.
@97Q3J273yrs3Y
yes, and the marriage of any gender too
@97KGVD63yrs3Y
Yes because thats what they are attracted to.
@97KGGZY3yrs3Y
It doesn't matter, it is the choice of the person.
@97JPTJC3yrs3Y
@97JPFFTProgressive3yrs3Y

@97JH2DTRepublican3yrs3Y
i don't really care its not my choice
@97DR9YB3yrs3Y
its not that i support it and dont support it, it just doesnt matter let the same sex do what they want.
@979QSNW3yrs3Y
@978YSKR3yrs3Y
Ir doesn't really matter to me
@976PSCKRepublican3yrs3Y
Should be choice if each individual
@9757CCRLibertarian3yrs3Y
Allow anyone to get married but covert it into a mutual contract entered between parties. The religious angle should be their individual decisions, the government interaction with it should be secular.
@97492LF3yrs3Y
I believe that you can marry who you want it doesn't matter to me
@973CGP93yrs3Y
i dnt really mind , it's their life and their happiness
@972MRMC3yrs3Y
As much as I understand that my religion defines a true marriage as a union between a man and woman, individuals that became LGBTQ+ after having a history of being sexually abused should be protected against same-sex marriage discrimination. Churches can perform these ceremonies as long as they've received consent from the couple and their wedding planners.
@96X9NXL3yrs3Y
Yes, let the people decide who to marry, not religious institutions
@96TP5LK3yrs3Y
Yes, Men and Women have the final decision in who they would like to marry, it is no one elses business.
@96GCJBV3yrs3Y
I honestly care less about this action
@96D6DRF3yrs3Y
criminalize same sex marriage
@967YK7B3yrs3Y
It doesnt bother me if someone decides to marry their own sex has nothing to do with me
@96333FMRepublican3yrs3Y
No, but I am not against it either
@95JLJ9C3yrs3Y
i'm going to be neutral about this
@94DV29R3yrs3Y
Yes, there is nothing wrong with same-sex marriages
@8GQZJFR5yrs5Y
Marriage to me is between a man and a woman. If anything else, then they should come up with a name other than marriage so we can differentiate.
@963WQNN3yrs3Y
I don’t support, yet I think removing a choice is wrong. I’m not here to tell people what not to do.
@8NTZM4XRepublican5yrs5Y
Yes, allow the same sex marriage and allow them to have ceremonies in the churges or wherever they want it.
@9746HY93yrs3Y
Doesn't matter to me, not trying to change a world or be a part of it that isn't going to get better. Politically neutral.
@B3CPF9BProgressive7mos7MO
I don’t believe the government should be in the marriage business at all but civil unions for all!
@GH7GS95yrs5Y
Government should not be involved in marriage. Let each individual decide how they want to live their lives
@8DDMD8M5yrs5Y
Yes, everyone should have the fair and free right to love whoever they want to, and there's no need to discriminate, discourage, and take away everything from anyone whose interests are of the same sex. Everyone deserves love. Churches should have the right to refuse same-sex marriages, but there should also be a church that allows same-sex marriages around each place around the U.S. There are plenty of churches as it is with different beliefs, and it's important to make sure if 2 people of the same sex wants to get married are able to with easy access.
